North Shore Inn

All I can say is wow, we will be back! I didn’t know what to expect, as places on the bay can sometimes be hit or miss. As a condo association with private owners, I wondered if the unit we got would be as nicely updated and appointed as the ones I saw on the website.
Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised! It was 3 of us girls in a 2 bedroom/​1 bathroom unit, and we had plenty of space. Unit 104 was updated with newer appliances, granite counter tops, the cutest beachy décor and high end furniture. We were able to sip wine on the patio and walk right out to t he sandy beach. In the mornings we watched geese, sea gulls and baby ducks play in the shallow water as we drank our coffee. Our group loved that we were able to bring in sandwich fixings and muffins/​fruit; we didn’t miss the continental breakfast offered at some hotels in the least!
With a central location not far from the casino or downtown, we really enjoyed the North Shore Inn. I could not believe the bargain for the amount of space we got! The only thing I will say was that it was a bit noisy– we could hear people walking upstairs and past our room. But hey– that goes with anywhere that has lots of people staying in one place and is hardly a reason to get upset. Lovely stay and great staff. Thanks for a memorable weekend:)

This is a charming place to stay on the beautiful East Grand Traverse Bay. The loft rooms are very spacious and offer magnificent water views… but most of the rooms do. The beach is pure sugar sand that is groomed daily. A definite favorite when in Traverse City! The only drawback is that 5 is the maximum occupancy in the large loft rooms. But I still love it here!

Nice place right on beautiful lake Michigan sandy beach. Great value for the money, friendly helpful staff.
