Sitio obligado para merendar chocolates con churros!
Es un bar que casi pasa desapercibido en la calle y al entrar, te encuentras un sitio auténtico. Tiene un salón interior de azulejos como los patios sevillanos.

Hole in the wall type café. No table service, order at counter but fresh churrios and chocolate dipping sauce! Tip: one portion is pretty big so start with that first. Pricing is very good value for money.

Too full for us to sit, so I ordered churros for 4 at the window. The waiter saw my son and asked if there were 2 small kids, and when I said yes, he suggested 3 servings instead – and he was right! Even with a smaller order, the four of us couldn’t finish it all in one sitting, but that just meant getting to have it twice in one day!

We’ve had the chance to sample churros con chocolate in many cities across Spain, but here at El Comercio you can believe the hype. The churros con chocolate here were some of the best we’ve had. What makes them so yum? The churros themselves are plump and cooked to a perfect golden, crispiness, while remaining soft and doughy inside. The chocolate is prepared with care, not too thin, not too think. Everything was prepared hot and fresh.
The interior of the bar is old-​timey and feels authentic with lots of tile and wood. It has a history going WAY back, and we loved the atmosphere. It was pretty quiet at about 6 pm on a Friday, believe it or not, but then again it’s late November. This place can get very busy during the peak times and season. We didn’t try any of the other food (tapas) or drinks, but have heard great things. This is a stop on the great Devour Spain food tours, so I’m sure it’s a winner on that front as well.

This bar/​restuarant has been opened since the early 1900s! Yes, you read that correctly. It has remained in the same location since its inception and passed from one generation to the next! The current owner, Paco who is the great grandson, was actually born upstairs. Talk about keeping it in the family! They’re known for their sweet vermouth and jamon de bellota which is the hame from pigs raised countryside in Jabugo and fed on acorns, resulting in this unbelievable marbling with the right combination of fat and meat. It’s difficult to describe but trust me when I say, it’s divine. Their vermouth is one of a kind as it’s not used in martinis or mixed drinks as it is often used for in the U.S. but it’s «devoured» over ice with a small piece of lemon or orange rind. When paired with the jamon iberica, it’s heaven on earth.
The décor has an old Spanish charm and on most days, you can’t find a seat much less space to move around in there because they are well-​known in Sevilla for their jamon iberica, sweet vermouth and churros con chocolate. Their churros are made to order and are available in the morning until about 1pm and again from 5pm. I returned one day around 3:30pm and they said churros weren’t available until 5pm. Talk about a bummer :-(
You will learn in Sevilla, and basically all of Spain, that hours of operation can vary. My advice is to call beforehand and speak (in Spanish) to the person who answers the phone. Be able to ask what time do you open/​close, are you open today & what time are churros available. Trust me on this one. I almost walked back to get the churros I missed earlier that day and learned that they closed at 9pm. Take my advice and call if you can.

Churros and chocolate was freshly made and served hot. Highly recommend the 10-​minute walk down from the Alcazar to indulge yourself.

Hands down one of our favorite dining experiences while in Seville. For around 10 euro, we had two fresh orange juices, churros and dipping chocolate for two. This business is self-​service (at the counter) with a friendly and helpful staff on hand. I especially enjoyed watching the older gentleman make churros while we waited for our order. There was a nice mix of locals and tourists and they appear to have long hours — churros all dayyyy, errrdayy. The menu also features a few tapa offerings.
Note: the bathroom was a hot mess when I visited. Don’t count on it.
Overall a fun and what appeared to be authentic experience.

We had a great visit in Seville and this place was an honorable mention. Definitely get the house vermouth and definitely the churros with chocolate sauce. We tried to go back a 2^nd time because we enjoyed it so much and wanted another glass of vermouth, but to our sadness it was closed (on a Tuesday). This was a great place and the bartender was wonderful and gave great service, his name was Javi.

Siempre que voy de compras por el centro aprovecho que sea a primera hora de la mañana o en el momento de la merienda para poder disfrutar de El Comercio. Aún no he probado a tapear en este bar pero sin duda alguna sus desayunos y sus churros los seguiré disfrutando siempre que pueda.
Es un local pequeño, con un pasillo lleno de taburetes que conduce a un también pequeño salón con un gran número de mesas. Algo que destacar del lugar, es que estás viendo como te preparan tu tostada y como cocinan los churros (algo que desde pequeña me ha encantado ver).
Los desayunos son los de siempre, la tostadita con el jamón y el aceite, pero con un toque especial: ir acompañados de un churro (para ir abriendo boca en vista a la hora de la merienda).
Con respecto a los churros sólo puedo decir que hay pocos bares donde haya probado unos más buenos. Sin duda alguna su chocolate es el acompañante perfecto.
Además, es el sitio perfecto si tienes prisa ya que son rapidísimos en ponerte la comanda. En relación al precio, no difiere mucho de lo que podáis pagar por esto mismo en otro bar del centro. Sin duda alguna, vale la pena.

El mejor sitio de la zona para tomar unos churros durante todo el día. En ocasiones es imposible encontrar un sitio libre

Alguna vez había entrado a tomar un refresco, e incluso una tapa, pero hacía tiempo que tenía el antojo de ir a tomar churros al Comercio. Un bar al que, por cierto, no le puede venir mejor el nombre, ya que es lugar de desayuno para muchos de los propietarios de los negocios de la zona.
Y es que, como aquí, en pocas partes se cumple con el rito de media mañana. Que no os engañe su estética de bar antiguo (larga barra y azulejería): hacen bien el café porque sus camareros son profesionales de los de siempre y los churros están para cantarles. La ración es barata y generosa, yo al menos salí plenamente satisfecho, y eso que los calentitos es una de esas cosas de las que me podría comer un barco. Por lo que observé en mis vecinos, las tostadas también tenían muy buena pinta.
Como curiosidad os cuento que a algunos habituales les sirven una especie de desayuno combinado: media con jamón y dos o tres trocitos de churro cortado. ¡Qué pena no trabajar por el entorno para poder ir a diario!

Es uno de los mejores sitios para empezar a ir de tiendas por el centro los sábados tempranito. ¡Por sus churros y su chocolate! Más ahora en invierno.
Aunque también hemos ido a la vuelta de las compras en el centro para la tapita y la cerveza.
Pero es que es lógico, justo en la conocida por Plaza del Pan hay un bar que está muy bien, pero no es de los de paso como El Comercio.
Entre otras cosas no tiene nada que envidiar al vecino. Son distintos, pero me gusta más éste porque se acuerdan de mi cara si he ido por la mañana y he vuelto por la tarde.

Además da un ambiente alborozado a la calle que a mi me recuerda a lo que podría ser el zoco de antaño.

Una tarde cualquiera, de un mes cualquiera, te ves en la obligación de tener que ir de compras a la zona Sierpes-​Tetuán y de repente te entra un hambre «del copón».
Pues este es sin duda el mejor sitio de la zona para merendar, y no una merienda cualquiera si no churros con chocolate!!!
Dicen tener más de 100 años de antigüedad.
La zona está falta de este tipo de sitios, por lo que encontrar un bar así es casi misión imposible.
Tienen tapas económicas y una variada oferta de montaditos.
Quizás lo mejor, a parte de los churros claro está, es el horario (7.30 a 21 ininterrumpido)
Una barra larguísima y unos bonitos azulejos son las insignias de este bar. Tienen un salón-​comedor y wifi.
El servicio muy agradable.
