Alameda Rock

I was recommended to try this bar by the owner and cook at Veganitessen (which is way better than this one).
I was there too early I guess and the chef asked us to come back later as he was not ready for service. We noticed that he was doing a photo shoot and I guess he was still getting ready for lunch. We went to another restaurant to eat and then came back to buy a few burgers to eat them for dinner. When we came back (about 1 hour later) they were still shooting pictures. The food seemed really well presented (Duh photo shoot) but when I asked him for 3 burgers, he sent someone to the store to buy burger buns. The burgers were just ok. They seemed home made as the patties were made of some type of mushy consistency like chick peas or some other type of bean. However, I did not think it was anything special. I still recommend this place due to the variety of food he offers and the affordability of the dishes. The ambiance is hipsterish so if you’re into that kind of thing, you will enjoy eating there as well.

I was really excited when I found out about this new Vegan, Rock bar. It took me till recently to visit it, having stopped off for a tapas & a beer with a friend.
We ordered the castillas (ribs) de seitan, the Vegan Chorizo & the Seitan con salsa porcini. We loved the chewy texture of the seitan castillas & the BBQ sauce served with it was really good. The Seitan porcini was worth ordering for the sauce alone. The Chorizo was really disappointing & a fairly small portion for the money. The other week we returned & ordered the super Mauser burger. We were really excited by the Jack Daniels sauce, which was disappointingly lacking. The burger was really poorly presented too, with a cheap bun, a large lettuce leaf, slice of tomato & some red onion accompanying the seitan burger.
I really want to give this place four stars for the good dishes (as well as for being a purely vegan bar) but the lacklustre other dishes drag it down to @ 3* rating

Riquísimo y mucha variedad! Vegetariano y vegano. Es un local grandecito y además tiene terraza. De momento he probado el hummus y la fajita, los recomiendo ambos por su buen sabor. Y sin duda volveré!!

Un sitio con una carta llena de opciones vegetarianas y veganas que además ofrece tapas aptas para celíacos donde hacen casi todo desde cero en la cocina y además está bueno! Personalmente como de todo, pero agradezco que haya lugares con variedad para la gente que no puede o no quiere comer ciertas cosas.
Probamos la pasta fresca (rellena de legumbres) y estaba muy rica, nos la pusieron con el ragut porque ese día no les había dado tiempo de preparar la salsa habitual. Las albóndigas (de soja texturizada) estaban buenas aunque para mi gusto eran demasiado grandes (hubiera preferido 5 albóndigas más pequeñas a 3 grandes) pero el ragut es delicioso. Y las patatas fritas con pimientos y chorizo vegano estaban muy buenas.
Nos dijeron que el montadito de gambas veganas es una de las especialidades pero ese día no tenían (porque las gambas veganas las compran de Alemania y no habían llegado) y tampoco les quedaba tortilla al whisky que parece ser otra de las mejores tapas.
Los postres creo recordar que tampoco los hacen ellos, no probamos ninguno.
Me gustó y sin duda volveré a seguir probando cositas.

¿Un bar de tapas que ofrece cocina vegana, con cervezas de importación y ofreciendo el mejor ambiente rockero de Sevilla en plena Alameda… puede ser real? Sí, existe y se llama Alameda Rock. La apuesta por un negocio de este tipo en una ciudad tan complicada como Sevilla, en una no menos compleja Alameda de Hércules es valiente y, afortunadamente, parece que está saliendo bien.
Yo he podido venir un par de veces mal contadas y siempre he salido con buenas sensaciones y con la impresión de que debería volver más a menudo a disfrutar de los partidos del Sevilla FC con una buena cerveza, aunque las paredes sean verdes: P
Las tapas están ricas, las camareras simpáticas, los precios están bien, juraría que tienen WiFi y la música, como no podía ser de otra manera, es de la mejor que vamos a encontrar en toda Sevilla. Sin duda, un lugar la mar de interesante si estamos por la zona y nos queremos quitar de los bares típicos o modernitos que plagan la zona, por no hablar de las franquicias y su comida de plástico precongelada.
Mucho mejor venirte al Alameda Rock, sin duda
