We came for lunch and took the hamburger, it was on of the best we have ever ate, so good! And the sangria is one of the best in Madrid! Sit outside in the sun and enjoy !

Been there twice now, first time I absolutely loved it. Second time a sour waiter almost ruined our brunch, so hesitating to recommend as warmly as I would have after the first time. Felt like something had happened in the place before we got there that had all the staff a bit on edge. Food was very tasty, also loved the natural juices selection they have. I’ve tried the arepas and the eggs benedict for brunch and they are very good. Between those I’d probably chose the arepas if I go again.

Best meal we had in Madrid! Patatas bravas and Chicken salad Gandhi were excellent. Waiter was a delight. Highly recommended.

Great place to have brunch on a sunny sunday. We ate: tequeños, empanaditas criollas and cachapas con queso telita. AWESOME venezuelan food. Great service. Advice: make a reservation.

Restaurante muy acogedor y muy buen servicio. Nos ha encantado el tártar de atún y el de Pez Mantequilla. También estaban muy buenos los crujientes de gambas. Hemos terminado con un fondant de chocolate fabuloso. ¡Para volver!

Just a note: the hubster’s familia is friends with the kind chef here, who is a hardworking wunderkind from Venezuela. He is what makes this place a draw for politicians(we saw the US ambassador eating with George Stephanopoulos) and celebs from Spain and abroad. That said, this is my favorite restaurant in Madrid. Popularity is only by word of mouth as it’s off the main thoroughfare which means no tourists. Woo hoo! We’ve had the whole menu and everything is tasty, from the Venezuelan comfort food to the richest truffle risotto I’ve ever had. We love their wine list and their waiters are beyond attentive. The space is small and welcoming but you MUST have a reservation or no seating. Just a top notch joint with a chef(now part-owner) who loves his craft and it shows. Good luck getting a rezzie if you don’t «know somebody.»

Murillo is the perfect place for a post-Prado snack. It’s true that the regular menu is super expensive(a burrata appetizer for 12 Euros?!), but you can sit at the very comfortable bar and order a drink or two, and snacks(cookies, croissants, muffins, a piece of cake). The area around the Prado is sort of a culinary dead-zone, so we were thrilled to find a pretty, charming place where we could regroup when museum fatigue set in.

Que bonio el sitio, que bien decorado, que gusto… Pero en cuanto al paladar muy normalito y si encima le sumamos que me pareció un poco caro… en fin que no creo que vuelva pues!
