Lovely little beer bar, very friendly staff, and an excellent array of beers. I really couldn’t ask for more. I’d seen many Mikkeller beers throughout my long weekend in Copenhagen, but this place had even MORE. An absolute delight that didn’t break the bank.

The only bad thing about Mikkeller is that it’s always so crowded. And why is that? Because it pretty darn fantastic! Okay, so the prices aren’t fantastic, but you can’t experience heaven and then complain about the entrance fee, you know what I mean? So, yes! Mikkeller Bar! Yes-yes!

Great little place, friendly bar keeps and excellent beers on tap. Good snacks available too with a very cozy environment. We hit a few tasty bars that day so I can’t remember specifics(hey it’s good beer) but don’t miss out! Sat for a awhile, sipped excellent beers and came up with various ideas for our artistic endeavors. This place is conducive to that. So go drink good beer, meet good people and come up with good ideas. Word!

It was delightful to find a bar that understands and celebrates sour beers. After a bike ride from Oslo to Aarhus, and a train trip to Copenhagen, I discovered Mikkeller, thanks to the recommendation of my friend Bo, and my CPH landlord. The beers were excellent and I was lucky to taste a sour cherry wine. The staff was welcoming and kind to an old guy. I hope to be back in Copenhagen one day soon, and back at Mikkeller.

Oh, Mikkeller. If I lived in Copenhagen, I’m sure you’d find me here a little too often for my own good. That would just be inevitable with all the delicious drinks they serve. We had hear of Mikkeller quite a bit before going to CPH and we held off trying the imported bottles(in the UK) until we had a few drinks during our visit. The bar is located in the basement of a building and it actually almost feels like a coffee shop rather than a bar. The décor is minimalist and the layout very clean. The staff at the bar were more than friendly and patiently gave us samples and info on the drinks, which was very much needed because of the sheer number of beers they have on tap! The drinks are strong, and I really loved the gluten free IPA they recommended me to try. There’s quite a strong stout with cherry that was also downright flavourful and tasty, too. If only I had the stamina(and the wallet!) to try all of them! They come in beautiful glasses as well. The atmosphere is great, and there’s a mix of locals and tourists, so you’ll more likely hear American accents(such as mine…) here and there. All in all, a fun place to visit and a great place to hang in beautiful CPH.

I love this place! I went yesterday with some friends for my birthday and we had a lovely time there. It is very cozy, a bit small(not good if you are lots of people). Even if yesterday was Wednesday it was quite full and we had to wait to find a place where to seat, anyway is nice also to chat near the counter :)

While walking to the Mikkeller Bar from the central station, I wondered… is Copenhagen home to the original hipsters? A quick Google search indicated that the original hipsters were actually from New York, but Thrillist did list this neighborhood in the«Top 10 Hipster Neighborhoods». The Mikkeller Bar definitely suits the neighborhood. They have 20 beers on tap, mostly their own, and a few other great beers from around the world. The diversity of beers was pretty impressive, they had a few sours, some stouts, and several IPAs. In US terms, the beers were averaging about $ 12/pint, so I didn’t get to try as many as I would have liked. If you want to try more than a couple of beers, I recommend doing their half-pour option(20 cl). The beers themselves were good, but not as good as some of the stuff coming out of California, Colorado and Oregon. They are opening a brewery in San Diego, and I’m excited to see what they produce at that location. It will be a welcomed addition to the San Diego scene. This is an important stop for beer geeks visiting Copenhagen, they even have a welcome sign for them on the door. Mikkeller is a big name in the craft beer world, and I’d recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Mikkeller Bar is AWESOME. I popped in here while visiting Copenhagen based on a recommendation from a friend. Also, one of my favorite craft beer bars in Manhattan has Mikkeller beers on tap quite frequently. The bar is very small with just two bartenders but I never had issues with the service. They took their time with each customer, describing the beers, giving recommendations, and offering tastes. The creative names of the beers are great. I ended up having the«Get Wit or Die Trying.» The bar itself is small with outdoor seating. It’s a very warm and cozy place with candles and low lighting. It was lively but nowhere near obnoxious. You could tell there were a lot of locals in here, and definitely huge beer lovers. This is a craft beer fan’s dream. I loved the beer. I loved the atmosphere. I loved the service. I can’t wait to go back during my next visit to Copenhagen!

I was visiting some friends in Copenhagen and Mikkeller was highly recommended, as I am a self-proclaimed craft beer lover.(Join the club, right)? In any event, I was very impressed with not only the different types and styles of beer offered, but the quality as well. Their sour was out of this world and their assortment of IPA’s offered a smoothness and drinkability akin to a lager — even at a fairly high ABV. The bartenders were kickass too. Super knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions patrons had. The space is tiny so be sure to get there early and grab a good seat. They also have picnic tables outside for use on nice days which I was a huge fan of. Definitely plan to return next time I am in Copenhagen!

Last week, I visited Mikkeller on Viktoriagade with a friend and I was thrilled! This place made me realiza why local craft breweries should be the 1st priority of any person’s bucket list. As a big fan of sour beers, I was happy to learn that Mikkeller does not only offer IPA, stout, witt etc., but also ATLEAST2 sour beers! This place also provides its customers with helpful bartenders in case you are overwhelmed with the many different beers written on the board, and a space that offers its customers a «hygge» atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, perfectly located in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen is filled with microbreweries and every single one recommended we check out Mikkeller Bar. It didn’t disappoint! I recommend ordering the smaller sizes so you can try a few when you visit. My personal favorite was #4, the Vesterbro Spontan. It’s a wild fermentation style beer(like the Belgian lambics). You can enjoy your beer inside or on the terrace.

Mikkeller was such a nice treat on what would have been an average Monday night. With over 15 craft brews on tap(and a killer cherry wine), Mikkeller is the perfect spot for any beer enthusiast or curious drinkers. The cosy indoor and outdoor setting makes it perfect for catching up with friends and all of their beers are served in wine glasses to class up the brew. Friendly, informative staff to assure even your most novice beer questions seem legit and free beer samples until you find the one that is just right. Cheers to that!

The beer was ok but not worth going back for. The place itself is pretentious and lacks atmosphere — it just screams for attention as it exudes a self-proclaimed oh-so-cool-and-hip aura but it’s really just another dime a dozen hipster joint, with its bright exposed lights and what have you. Enough of this. It’s passé.

Fantastic beer. A must for those who like stouts. My friends and I got a light, medium, and dark so we could try one of each. Couldn’t tell the difference. They all tasted dark. But they were fantastic. Cosy little place. It looks like a fine place to be trapped in a snowstorm. Very excited for Mikkeller in the bay

Again a hipster beer bar! It’s nice, cosy and they have beer. But I think the city is getting to full of this places. And to be honest I’m not a big fan of all those different beers who sometimes really taste weird. OK place to go with friends and to see some hipsters.

My favorite beer joint in Copenhagen. Here you understand why the entire population drinks lots of ale and beer because it is, in one word… delicious. For the first time, I’ve appreciated beer/ale with food. But wait there are hundreds of beer to try here. The most delicious to me were ones on tap, the ales, any of them I tried 4. For a long time the Danes(I read somewhere) drank beer/ale because of its polluted waters. Now that the water is clean, ale/beer is still very popular. Right on Danmark! I will stop here because you must make it here when in the city or any bar in Denmark. I can write a tome or two about the beer here but I’ll let you do that. Just know I led you here and you owe me! Visits: Almost every day for a week. Tip: Bar sits in the basement. You won’t miss it. It’s a watering hole. Cheap /affordable.

I don’t like beer… not at all, but i’m married to someone who does so on our trip to Copenhagen Mikkeller Bar was one of first calls. Situated in a basement(as many bars are in copenhagen) you enter down a few very steep steps. The bar seats around 30 people with a few stood around the bar too. A nice setting with a pleasant atmosphere, it was a real pleasure to spend a few hours in there. Obviously for the beer drinkers there is a vast choice of fantastic beers… and for the non beer drinkers… there is cherry wine! at around £7 for a small glass it is very expensive, but its thick and warming like a dessert wine so is made to be sipped and savoured. At 17% its also a slow drinker for that reason. Lets just say i had a lovely time and came out feeling all warm and fuzzy(bring on the cherry wine!)

All I can say about this place is that they have very nice bartenders. They really try to help you figure out what to order, even let you taste the beer first. I’m not a beer expert, but when I told them that I love Belgian beer and would love to try something similar, he gave me a blonde that was a little too sour to be similar to Belgian beer. I also asked for a sweeter one for my friend(who’s really not into beer) and he recommended a bitter dark beer. I enjoy beer but even I did not like that one. If you had more beer knowledge than me, then I guess you would appreciate this place more than I do. Still, for me it was definitely an experience drinking craft beer under the full Copenhagen moon.

Good beer(like Weat Coast good) in Europe? What? it’s TRUE! Apparently Denmark is not Germany and knows how to make delicious hoppy and crazy beers. They had three IPAs on tap(which I had been sorely missing in my trip through Germany previously). The citra single hop was particularly good. Also sours, stouts, stone ales, barley wine etc that I did not try but that my companions claimed wee quite nice. It’s half underground soo make sure you don’t walk past it! Definitely on the spendy side. Most are 35 dkk for 20 cl. But hey, turns out Copenhagen is an expensive city. Get used to it and enjoy it!

Hier muss man mal reinschauen. Wobei meinen Geschmack treffen dies geschmacklich ausgefallenen Biere ja nicht…

More like a wine bar than a beer bar, but still a must visit if you in any way like beer and perhaps even if you don’t. While many will go to Carlsberg, people in the know will visit this bar of the lesser known but brilliant craft beer brewer. In a very minimalist fashion there is not much there, bar ten taps and a chalkboard. It is very small, lacks atmosphere and it is quite expensive, but it is still a pilgrimage worth making. My tip would be to just try a few small glasses of various beers. They all taste good and it lets you get a selection to taste without breaking the bank. The sort of place you need to say you have been!(Now ticked off my list)

Beer geeks and Mikkeller Freaks congregate at this small basement bar to have fun and catch up. Very cozy and minimally decorated, Mikkeller fits the aesthetics of Danish design. The focus is on their multiple craft beers ranging from 5% to 18% alcohol(Big Worster, if you’re curious) Being a novice beer drinker, I went with something that’s a no brainer: the Beer Geek Bacon. Clocking in at 7.5%, this spiced stout served in a small wine glass was enough to keep me happily occupied for the next hour. My gf, who’s a non-beer drinker, pointed out they also have a wine with cherry notes on the chalkboard. The boys tried the Mexas Ranger and the I hardcore you. Cute names can also help you pick out your drink if you’re indecisive! Otherwise, ask the staff for recommendations. Coincidentally, Mikkeller also has an outpost in SF, so if I miss their brews, I wouldn’t have to go all the way to Copenhagen for a cold one. Lucky? I think so! ;-)

Der Bierhimmel alles eigene Sorten, da hat man die Qual der Wahl und müsste sich durchtrinken. Die Bar ist wohl immer gut besucht also zeitiges Erscheinen sichert einen Sitzplatz oder auch guten Stehplatz.
