This is the third and last time we have been to Botaniq. It’s not particularly because the food tastes bad, but because of the«cheap» and stingy feel of the place. The waitress weighed our salad for 5 minutes — no kidding — adding and removing stuff so it matched the scale by the gram! Furthermore, a little spoonful of hummus cost and extra 12kr on top of the already overly expensive salad prices… We also ordered a dahl for 95 kr(in itself crazy), with which one would need to pay 15kr extra for a slice of bread. Making prices high in the center of Copenhagen is fair enough, but not including anything(like hummus, salad dressing, seeds, bread, etc) all other salad bars do is just provocative.

I can appreciate that this place has all Vegan food but we were very very disappointed with the service. Took 10 – 15 minutes for the lady to even acknowledge our existence. This isn’t all her fault as she was the ONLY person working in the entire place. Maybe this is why she was sweating like an overworked pig or possibly because the temperature was a solid 30 degrees in there. Nevertheless we will not be back.

We came here for dinner which was not the best choice. They serve salads, falafel and a hot stew but when we got here at 18.30 they had almost run out of stew. Okay… I went for a large salad which was not really enough to still my hunger. So why the 3 stars? Because the food was very tasty an savory. Would I go here again? Yes but only for a healthy lunch.

I too had high hopes for this place. It looked quite nice from the inside, and they’ve done a good job with their renovation. However, at first blush, although their prices may look okay, it’s actually not such great value as one would hope. The food was good, but nothing mind-blowing. What was really a let down was the fact that service was slow, and they forgot to write down one of our orders, and when the delayed order was finally reordered and delivered, it was missing something. When we had to pay so we could leave, we had to track down someone so we can head out. A lot of potential in this place. There’s something missing in the execution, and I hope they’re able to deliver in the future, because there’s certainly competition right across the street.

I was so happy to stumble onto this place. The food, the restaurant, the location and the service were all top notch. I plan to return to Copenhagen again and will revisit this restaurant. As a vegan, this was one of my culinary highlights.

I’ve been here 3 times. Service is always friendly and the food is fresh tasting and quite filling. Hot Pots are hearty and full of flavor. Great salads. Excellent fresh made juices and smoothies too. There is plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. There is a bar height table running along the front window so you can sit and watch the bikers go by while filling up on plant-based goodness. The only downside is that there is 1 person running the entire show. They take the orders and prepare the food, so if you have a few folks ordering ahead of you there may be a considerable wait time. Also, I know it’s not usually very warm in Denmark but on a warm summer day it will be uncomfortably hot sitting inside. Front door stays open but there are no fans or air conditioning. Sitting outside is not much better since you will be drenched with direct sunlight. They also do take-out and delivery.

Nice place to eat vegan. Very nice atmosphere and helpful staff. I tried a panini and a hotpot, both was very yummy. You can also have food and drinks for takeaway.

The place and the food were very good. Pity that we arrived too late and they were almost closing … So, not much left to choose. Everything we tasted was very good. The juice was a bit watery, though.

Nice vegan place in heart of the city. We really enjoyed their humus sandwich and the soup of the day. It’s pretty roomy and child friendly too. I haven’t tried it myself but my friends who ordered smoothie mentioned it was really good too !!! So will definately recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a veggie place.

Great restaurant and great service! It is definitely not a place to visit if you just want a huge meal to fill the stomach. The meals rather consist of many little things to give you a good overall idea of how rich and varying vegan food can be — and not just with«fake» meat from tofu etc. So this is not at all like the usual vegan places that only try to imitate the taste of meat. You need to order a three course menu if you don’t want to leave the restaurant hungry, but it is a really outstanding experience both for vegans and non-vegans.

I came here because of many good reviews from both internet and friends but I was hugely disappointed after. Went here on rainy Tuesday evening(after 5pm) to have a drink with a friend. Came to the empty restaurant /café(?) and there was only one person behind the bar. We took a seat, the table was dirty!(There were still food crumbs from before!) and when we asked the waitress to wipe the table, it was still not clean :/ We wanted to order a rose wine, but found out later that we couldn’t order per glass, and even that we couldn’t even buy the bottle because they were out of stock :( The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when we decided to switch from wine to cocktail(heard that the cocktail was great here) only to find out that she couldn’t make cocktails.(She said she could, but she couldn’t guarantee the taste would be great). She further explained that cocktails were only available on certain days(when the REAL bartender is available, I suppose) — but they failed to mention this in the website. Otherwise we would have picked other place. We scooted and never looked back. Sorry Firefly, you had your chance.

what i was expecting here was vegan food on par with what i’ve had in europe. i wasn’t hoping for any of the amazing dishes i’ve had in california; ‘chickin’ wraps, tempe chili, fake carne asada sandwiches. but what firefly does is show off the beauty of vegetables instead of hiding them behind meat imitations. the massaged kale salad was so flavourful with a good combination of textures. it was so artfully arranged that i didn’t know where to start at first. the chef presented the dishes to us and seemed very proud of what he was serving, as he should be. since it was a lingering saturday lunch, we decided to get the cheesecake and a cocktail each. i have been hearing so much about this vegan cake and it lived up to the hype! it was so hard to believe there wasn’t any cheese in it. if you are a carnivore who wouldn’t be caught dead in a vegan restaurant, at least try the cake. the botanical lemon drop and jatujak gimlet were very nice and maybe the latter was bordering on too strong. it was a good way to round off the meal on a refreshing note. it’s great to see a vegan restaurant in copenhagen that puts forth such an effort.

I struggle as I write this review because the food that we had was mind blowing. Presentation, flavor, all of it was just astounding. Why no 5 stars? Unfortunately, the enjoyment of our meal was really dashed by the service. When we arrived, we were only one of two couples in the entire restaurant. There was only one server working the floor and he was also the bartender. We got our waters, I ordered a beer and we started looking over the menu. I went with the butterbeans and jerusalem artichokes and I can’t begin to express how elegant and delicious it was. I think this place could shock even the meatiest of meat eaters. I tasted the beet soup and we also got the carrot cake. All flavors and presentation were incredible. As the restaurant filled up, the one server just seemed to be overwhelmed. It took very long times to even get his attention,(sometimes in excess of 15 minutes) and when another tabled ordered fresh juice, that one guy had to go and make it. When people at the bar needed something, that one guy had to take care of them. He was really running around and while I felt bad for him, it really did make our meal a little difficult. We were actually charged for tap water which bothered me. I didn’t see that printed on the menu anywhere and perhaps it’s because we asked for a second pitcher. I would have like to know this up front if it’s restaurant policy. Paying a few bucks for a pitcher of tap water just seems obnoxious to me. If going on the food alone, this is certainly one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. I think if they are able to have a few more people working they could really provide a very unique and stellar experience.

This was easily the best restaurant we dined in during our entire trip. Whether you’re a vegan or an omnivore, the dishes here are pure heaven. Favorites of mine included the beet soup, the pumpkin pie with cashew cream, and the lemon-chocolate cheesecake. If this rating was based on food alone, there’s no doubt that Firefly Garden would be 5 stars; the service, however, knocks it down from a perfect rating. There was only one server for the entire restaurant and he also had to act as the bartender. It was relatively busy given the fact that we stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday, so I’m not sure why there wasn’t enough staff. There was quite a bit of noticeable lag time in between courses. Also, they charged us for a refill of tap water, which kind of irked me. It’s certainly worth it to visit Firefly Garden if you’re in Copenhagen, but don’t stop in here expecting a quick bite!
