Emmm… maybe I don’t really fancy such a creamy taste for spaghetti. And the shrimps are not fresh, so I can’t like it.

3.5 to 4 Maybe the locals may differ, but we get random Goemon cravings once a month and frequently visit the City Hall joint. This is the Japanese-style pasta eaten with chopsticks. I swear I tried this when I had lived in Tokyo… but for some reason, it tastes much better here. It’s not the authentic over-the-top delicious pasta one can eat, but it is a good place to grab a quick dinner on a random night. We always get the Vongole and Mentaiko pasta. The noodles are cooked to perfection(a bit on the harder side, just the way I like it) and the seasoning just right. The portions are a bit small though so order the set that comes with two, so you have four plates total between the two!

Tasty but expensive pasta. Better value for money at Lena’s.

Frankly, I find Yomenya Goemon pretty ok. Maybe it was because I ordered the wrong pasta or something because I didn’t really like the ingredients of my pasta. Overall, I found the service pretty attentive, the quality of the food was nice, the pasta wasn’t too overcooked(like some places I know.), the amount of sauce was just perfect and the ingredients wasn’t pathetic(like some other places I know). As this place is a East(Japanese) meets West(Italian) fusion eatery, so expect some japanese ingredients such as salmon roe infused into the dishes. Ambiance wise, this place is pretty noisy due to the fact that it’s situated outside City Hall Mrt station so be prepared to put up with the stares of passerby while you are eating.
