I was sweatin’ like a day laborer in the muggy weather and desperately needed some clothes made for Singapore weather. I was wearing a long-sleeved UNIQLO Heat Tech blouse from San Francisco because I love how little room these take up in my luggage and don’t seem to need any ironing. Found my way to Chinatown Point to this UNIQLO — newly opened last month. Just like the UNIQLO in Hong Kong, this one was well-organized, color coordinated, well-lit and their sizes tend to run smaller than what the average overweight American can handle. Staff was very friendly and useful in getting misplaced merchandise back on the shelves neatly. Where there are customers, there will be messes but didn’t see any here! I bought a patterned top from their new Airism line — looks like it’s innerwear but I guess it is passable for outerwear if you’re not sweating it see-through. S$ 16 is OK I guess. The lines were tolerable since they move pretty quickly. This UNIQLO is at the basement level — fork left and turn a hard right to the back corner, past the food stalls.
