Its a shame that I can only give this place 3 stars. They actually serve good Singapore-French food, and for what I would call reasonable-for-Singapore prices. I had the Casoulet du Canard, and enjoyed it thoroughly. My mum was with me, and she is the pickiest eater I know. Even she enjoyed her roasted half chicken. This place is just let down by the service, or rather, the lack of it. Typical Singapore joint — can’t get enough people to tend to the tables. I pity the 2 ladies working there, I estimate they were handling 16 tables between them. Tough. Still, I will be back. I haven’t even tried their truffle fries yet. Oh, and they make good desserts too.

This place is very, very new, but I’ve already been twice. They have the nicest truffle fries I’ve tasted in Singapore; very generous with the truffle oil so the flavour is great. The mushroom soup is good too, but very rich and creamy so you need to be prepared for that. The first time I went I had the soup, the truffle fries and then a bread pudding and I think I totally overloaded on the oil and richness of the food. Other things people in my family have tried include the roast chicken and the pasta with mushrooms, bacon and a poached egg. They’ve all got the stamp of approval. We wanted to try the duck confit(the specialty) but it’s been sold out every time we’ve been!
