I am a huge curry fan and while doing Singapore, a good curry place was definitely on the list. With some searching, we ended up to choose Curry Hut as our place to go. To sum it up: very good quality curries with possibility to tune the vindaloo’s spice level. Good service, reasonably priced. The restaurant is located in the Holland Village. It is popular shopping and dining destination for younger Singaporeans and expatriates, it is dominated by and often visited solely for its eateries and watering holes. We ordered a mix of different starters plus main courses — and ended getting a lot of food. There is a wide variety of foods that you can choose, so I can’t cover all what’s available. We ended up choosing chili shrimps, chicken tikka, murgh korma and oh-so-spicy Vindaloo lamb. Their tandoori is very good and the Chicken Tikka was excellent. Korma and others were ok, but missing something I can’t really pinpoint. Vindaloo is their only dish where you can adjust the spiciness level to maximum(you can adjust others too, but to my understanding not to great extent). The levels are from 1 to 5 and I chose with level 4 spicy factor. I am used to lots of chili and this was a good choice for me: enough kick but still good taste. I could have gone for level 5 too, I don’t think it would have been too much. But this was just ok to me. I prefer also taste in the curry ;) Vindaloo wasn’t as rich in flavor I would have liked it to be, but was ok. The naan was also good. My favorite restaurant back home makes the best naans, but this gets pretty close. Service was warm and attending. The interior of the restaurant is a bit too neutral(and definitely not indian) but it didn’t matter much. The name of the restaurant and the look of the place just doesn’t make an appealing combo to any passer by. I would have not chosen this place if I hadn’t read other reviews and feedback from other customers. But don’t get alarmed, you will get good food inside! All in all, a 4+ stars in total. Two excellent curries and two ok ones. Price level was pretty average(we dined for $ 200 with 4 dishes and starters and three glasses of house wine).

I used sugar app to pay for my dinner. I got a sampler plate that includes Papdi chaat, bhel puri and pakoras. It was not bad. The place is like a bar, clean and in a pedestrian street that got some westerner feelings. The flavours are towards sweeter side but are quite rare treat: Indian street snacks in a restaurant setting.
