Standard bar, drinks are generally all good twists on classics. I can’t give it more stars because I was expecting more out of a cocktail week menu. That being said the bartenders are nice but the table service is lacking.

I like it here. Cool intimate chill spot in Chinatown with an awesome sophisticated name, solid drinks and chill bartenders. My ladyfriend and I visited here after our early weekday Burnt Ends restaurant reservation and were the only ones in the bar at around 7:30 pm. A cool bartender chatted with us for a bit before taking our order which for me was something called their Chains and Cuffs or something inspired by Fifty Shades of Gray — an earl grey gin martini with egg white. They even decorate the glass with a mini hand cuff. It was REALLY good. I forgot what my girlfriend ordered but it was pretty good too. They have these dehydrated fruits at the bar too which are like candied chips. Meant for use as garnishes in drinks but fun and addicting to eat(ask for them). Took off a star because as cool and chill as it is, it is still too similar to most bars out there. The earl grey drink and the one my gf ordered(I wish I remembered what it was called) were the only two different drinks on the menu. Everything else was your typical drink that you can find elsewhere(manhattan, gin and tonic, long island iced tea, etc.). Because it was so quiet when we were there, didn’t get a chance to see what the vibe is like when it’s crowded which might make it more memorable to us. It is a cool comfortable spot though and I’m sure we will be coming back when in that area.

Good spot. A college friend and I ventured to this place. The drink selection is amazing, kitschy, catchy, & humorous. The drinks? DAMN strong. The Spring Break drink is the business. Run & tell that. A bartender also effed us up with shots. I am not a shots girl. iDied. Don’t want to explain. Just go. Or check out their website. You won’t be disappointed.

Been here a couple times, cocktail list is a good list that caters for a crowd with diverse tastes, and service is okay here. My friend sent back a drink once and the server seemed okay with it. Do I like the drinks here? They’re okay. Crowd here on a Friday night gets bit boisterous and conversations get loud. Would I come back? Why not?

I live down the street so I frequent this place a couple times a month. Honestly, what keeps me coming back is the good music(this isn’t a club, but sometimes I just want to hear hip-hop and not be at Blu Jazz dancing on a table), chill vibe, whiskey and the awesome bartenders who take care of you like you’re in their home. Haven’t been on a Friday or Saturday in a while, so I can imagine it getting pretty rowdy, but if you want sit, unwind, make conversation, its a great place to do so on the weekdays.

I like the place and décor. It was very quiet when we got there, maybe it was still during the Chinese New Year period(within the 15 days). Only 1 other table was occupied so the owner or staff could give his full attention to us. I must commend his patience when I was trying to figure out what cocktail to order. The list is filled with quirky names and concoctions which are hardly seen elsewhere. So it is a plus if you love alcohol and like to try new stuff. Me? I hardly drink so it was a challenge to find one which I would find palatable. In the end, I chose Spring Break which is tequila base(the only type of alcohol which is not too bitter to me). It came in a red plastic cup and a ping pong ball. Cute. The clean freak in me wondered if the ball has been washed though. The drink was still strong and sour, so I asked for it to be sweetened more. It came back with with hardly much change in sweetness. YOLO was also fun as it came with a polaroid picture of a random person. There were many more which we ordered but I do not remember what they are now. A good place for unusual cocktails but the price is definitely much more too. The average price of a drink is around $ 30(inclusive of taxes+service charge).

It’s pretty hard not to love a bar that has a cocktail list with a sense of humour. «Boys and their toys» may be the most expensive drink on the menu($ 28!) but it comes complete with a toy soldier frozen in a giant icecube. The presentation and naming of the drinks here is fun, and deliberately ironic. I loved it, especially a cocktail called #YOLO that came complete with a selfie Polaroid of bar manager Christian who looked like a dear in the headlights. Sit at the bar and you’ll probably get some banter from the boys behind the bar. They are from all corners of the globe and have some great opinions about the food and booze scene in Singapore. Go on, do it. #YOLO

Popped over for a cocktail after FaF a month back. I had the Mai Thai and my friend got the Boys like Toys. I thought my drink was very balanced and my friend thought his toy soldier frozen in an ice cube was a little kitschy. In other words, the cocktails were ok but didn’t knock it out of the park. We had a friendly Singaporean bartender and he had just started. The owners seemed a little heavy handed in the way they ordering him around but I guess one could argue that’s how they maintain quality control? We bought him a drink at the end of our stay just to make him loosen up, since he looked slightly frazzled. We usually get to know the bartenders(or «mixologists») at bespoke bars but the dudes here seemed rather cold, much less enthusiastic about talking about their drinks. Yawn. Oh well.

Well, this review has turned into a comparison of Cufflink vs. Library. Sorry I’m not sorry. As much as I love The Library, I’ve gotta give love to Cufflink Club. I consider this place the best of both worlds — enjoy well made cocktails with fun names in unpretentious surroundings*. No passwords needed at this joint– just walk in, find a spot to sit(or stand), and find a friendly bartender or staff member to get your party started. The crowd at Cufflink is always an outgoing and good looking one on weekends. I’ve seriously seen some of the hottest girls here, so guys, prepare to shell out some mad money if you’re going to treat them to a round of drinks. Bring your A game as well. On weeknights, it’s a lot more chill, so no need to dress up as much. In terms of drinks, my favorite is coke cane(it’s fun to see people’s reactions when it’s their first time there and they don’t realize it’s a drink on the menu) which I believe is a rum based drink with a Coca Cola reduction. They change up their menu every 2 – 3 months, so be sure to come back and ask for what’s new. Last time I went, I tried their #YOLO– yes, it has a hashtag, AND it’s served to you with a picture of a random bar patron! I went ahead and got my picture taken(with the label #happy) so if you order it, you might get my face! :) I love how they play good hip hop here, and they have more than 1 bathroom stall(unlike The Library.) Also, I have yet to have a run-in with bitches, so Cufflink, you’re slowly becoming my favorite. *Ask me about the 3 separate occasions where I encountered bitches at The Library.

Yes cocktails are expensive but I find other mediocre cocktail bars have similar price tags here in Singapore. Interesting cocktails which makes ordering quite fun! Loved the Nordic hipster. The ambiance is classy/dressy. Great service! Will be coming back again :)

Expensive bad cocktails. Dressy crowd, especially on a Saturday. It was half empty when we walked in at about 9.30pm, so we were lucky to find a table for 8. By the time our drinks arrived, the crowd has swelled. Amazing dressy crowd, with your fair share of eye candies too.

The interior of this place(warm lights –not too dim and quite cosy, nice array of alcohol at the bar and an overall sleek vibe) and their interesting menu are probably the highlights of the bar. However, for what they are charging per cocktail($ 20 – 30), you would expect a stronger drink. But no, both drinks that I had were kind of watered down and disappointing. They definitely need to work on this if they want to get customers to hang around. I don’t think I would stay here for more than 1 drink the next time I come. It is just not really worth it. I thought that the crowd was a good mix– locals and expats. Service here was good considering they were quite packed. So no complaints here. An interesting place to check out but don’t expect a buzz unless you are prepared to buy more than a couple of drinks.

Ive heard a lot about the Cufflink Club and was interested to try it out. Theres been a bit of hype about this place, and that is all it is unfortunately – hype. Located in the Chinatown area, the bar is a bit hard to find as its tucked away in a small road. The place itself is nice – it has a dark and sophisticated interior. When you come to a bar that’s supposed to have awesome and interesting cocktails, you expect the cocktails to be really good and unique. The menu itself is interesting, but seriously –$ 30 for a cocktail?! Its half the price or less in New York City! If you are paying this much, you expect the cocktail to be fabulous right? More like watered down and not even that great. I would not come back here. All hype and pretty pretentious actually.

If Hyatt’s Martini Bar is too crowded for your liking and you prefer somewhere a tad more quieter and laid back, then The Cufflink Club is one place you have to check out. Wedged in between a Hotel 81 branch(unfortunately) in the Chinatown area, The Cufflink Club is a nice little cocktail bar that oozes a cozy, laid-back vibe and a haven to indulge in your drinks. There’s a strong expat crowd here and judging from the number of people going in and out, the drinks they serve are pretty good. While it may seem like the sort of place that’s meant for stuffy and serious people, the drinks they serve are nothing like that. Expect whimsical, pop culture inspired drinks on the menu which changes every five to seven weeks.

i’d read about Cufflink Club online and had wanted to try it so we stopped by this past weekend. The interiors were nice, not boring like some places that are just aching to shut down but not too over the top either. The drinks were a bit expensive coming under $ 30 a pop but were quite unique. Maybe it’s because its a fairly new establishment and they just havent gotten in the groove of things quite yet, but we had the worst experience with service. It took us over 20 minutes to get served our first drink and the staff were quite rude. They only had one bartender serving at the time who could not careless that there were people waiting to be served. I’d probably give it another shot on a busier night, and hopefully the service will be better.
