Thanks to a Unilocaler Friend, I got to try this place at Parkway Parade, hidden somewhere on the 3rd level. I haven’t noticed about it until I saw the check in. Ambiance is not bad but unfortunately the mall’s wifi only covers a small area of the restaurant(restaurant doesn’t offer wifi), so unless you get a place with the wifi connection, it’s not really suitable to do your work, besides lighting is a bit bad for it. As for the service, it was non-existence. The time I went there with 2 other Unilocalers, it was pretty vacant and the number of staff matches the number of hungry customers in the restaurant so you expect some service from there but no, those staff were engaged in their own conversation and the more concerning part is their understanding of English especially with foreign accent is lacking. Not so sociable over here! As for the food, they offer a good variety of selection around the global, not all but the popular ones. I had the Chirash Don and it was ok, nothing spectacular about it, a bit pricey for it. Overall, nothing to shout about it. Service should always come first even if there are few customers in the restaurant. Will I come back? Yeah, maybe to try other food dishes.

I have stopped counting the menus — yes, plural! A Japanese menu, a Western menu, a Wine menu, the Specials menu, the Weekday menu and a customer feedback form. By the time you read this literature you will be starving — maybe that’s the point. Located on the third floor of Parkway with spectacular views of nothing in particular, this colossal restaurant is ideal for large groups of people with time to wade through the multiple menus. During the day Social Square is not so social — in fact, it’s rather quiet. The PP WiFi reaches here so you can open your laptop and work away whilst you wait for your food to arrive. The food is okay. You probably will not be call home to tell mama about this amazing cuisine but at the same time you will be happy with the reasonable value; flavor and portion size.

Menu has large offerings and a lot of variety. Great family place but service though friendly, is very slow. Wait for the food is also a tad long. The use of an iPad ordering system will do this place good. Interesting concept though.

nice place and ambiance but service is a bit slow. they don’t know how to make cappuccino. it’s just like a latte with just a little more froth.

This place is big in all kinds of ways. It has a long name. It has a huge space. It has like, 4 different menus(all day breakfast, pasta, Japanese food, wine list.) Those who are pessimistic will say that they’re confused or just trying too hard. Those who are optimistic will say that they’re doing a great job pleasing everyone. I guess I’m in between! If you’re familiar with the Ministry of Food brand, this place is basically a mixture of 2 or 3 of their brands, plus lots and lots of wine. I didn’t have the pleasure of using their iPad ordering system; instead I went old school and flipped through all the menus. I decided on the Japanese menu and ordered the udon + tempura set. Not the best ever, but not bad either– it was as expected. Prices were mid-range. Given their space, this is the perfect spot to go if you have a big group of fussy eaters or if you’re not very particular on what you want to eat that day. I really wouldn’t mind returning again!

Reminds me of a Friday’s restaurant; cool décor and atmosphere, but quality of food is a complete miss. Might be due to the HUGE menu selection! Service is good… for ordering yourself via iPad. We had the roast chicken(dry, rubbery) and dragon roll(seaweed was dry, aged). Overall, maybe a place for a drink… ohh wait… no bar.
