Sephora

We all love Sephora for the range of cosmetics and skincare products. The staff seem busy but knowledgeable enough if you ask.

If you’re into make-​up, beauty and frivolous vanity products, Sephora will definitely not be a stranger to you. Sephora has been established as the one-​stop place to go for all popular brands for almost every beauty product that is out there, and also offers make-​over services for super affordable prices.
But the specific branch I’m reviewing is at Marina Bay Sands Shoppes. With the sprawling malls that are perpetually crowded on weekends and sometimes even weekdays, it’s simply a headache to go about elbowing around others to take a closer look at items, or to even be able to browse a shelf in peace. Marina Bay Sands is definitely out of the usual shopping belt of Orchard Road, so it is by default a lot less crowded.
The staff working here are also a more subdued bunch, and not as enthusiastic in waving samples and fragrance slips in your face which is just fine for me. Another point I like about this branch is their ready stock, even of popular cult limited edition items. Sephora has the policy of stocking all their outlets of basically the same quantity of all products, even limited edition products. This meant that I was able to get my hands on 2 pieces of a specific product that was out of stock and wait listed at every other Sephora store I had tried looking at.

Sephora is amazing — you’ll be overwhelmed by the variety of make up, fragrances, bath products and candles this store offers. I’m a big fan and always pop into either their ION or MBS outlet.
Firstly — they have every single make-​up brand I use. I love their Benefit range, as well as their own Sephora — brand. Apart from make –up, they also sell bath products and a huge range of Burt’s Bees products, which I use. They also have the brand «Philosophy» of which I like their Vanilla Coconut shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath — great 3-​in-​1 to bring for travelling.

I tend to favor this outlet over the ones at Ion and Takashimaya as they tend to get really crowded. Headed down bright and early one morning and we were served by a lovely lady by the name of Linda. She noticed us poking around and came to render some help. Thanks to her, we were allowed to make an informed decision between similar products from different brands, procured a basket of goodies and also joined as Sephora members. She also informed that we’d be entitled to double points given that it was our birthday month, and with that, we’re just shy of a few points to hitting that elusive 250 that gives us an additional 10% off. Very pleased with her service, double thumbs up.
