Okay, I can’t claim to be an expert on Japanese food from Sendai, but I can tell you that every dish I tried here was excellent. I didn’t do the ordering, so I can’t tell you what the exact dishes are, but etched on my mind is the beef tongue! How can something so sinfully good actually be healthy? Well, apparently, tongue is a tender, lean piece of meat, full of the flavour, with almost no fat, just pure muscle. Have to have more! Did I mention the beef tongue?

Excellent sashimi dinner special at 19.95. Have to order a drink to get special price… just not water, can be a cup of green tea.

Authentic Jap food! Most of everything is handmade. Great thick authentic ramen soup base, which from the taste of it, I’m 100% sure they cooked the soup for a long time. Chefs are all from Japan, even many of the service crew are from Japan. They have charcoal grill fish/squid. I’ve yet tried them but they smell good. I’m full just by smelling the mouth-watering smokey aroma! Quite a crowd during lunch time as they provide lunch set menus which are very authentically prepared. Ramen wise, soup is perfect but the noodles are not handmade, the only pity. Add $ 8.50 for a full set, it includes a jelly dessert, my favourite part of the set! there will always one or two customers waiting to get in during lunch time before your queue. The time taken to serve their lunches is pretty shirt as the service crew is very efficient. I like how they waitresses dress themselves up in kimonos, a touch of Japan! One of my favourite quick japanese fix for lunch. I’m a fan :)

There are very few, if any, restaurants in Singapore that make you feel so out of place. In this case, it’s a VERYVERY good thing. Coming to SanDaime Bunji feels like your almost in Japan. Not only are there a TON of Japanese patrons during the weekday lunch hour, but if seated inside, more likely or not you’ll have to take your shoes off to dine. I frequent Japanese restaurants, at least once or twice a week. Despite this, I could not recognize any of the dishes on the menu. These dishes are truly different. The big draw at this restaurant is the weekly rotating lunch set at $ 9++. On the day I went, I had a beautifully marinated fish served(teriyaki I believe) with an Ox tongue/Wintery miso soup and daikon radish soup and nutty barley rice. Like, I said it’s DIFFERENT. If you are adventurous and go in with an open mind, this is the Japanese restaurant to go to. I guess that’s what makes this restaurant a truly AUTHENTICFIND!

Surprised I’m the first review. Great option if you work near Millenia Walk. Indoors was full when I arrived around 12 so we sat outside as the weather has been mild. Daily lunch set special is a steal at SG11. Given the service, setup and decent food I’d recommend it if you’re looking for lunch in the area. I’d classify this place as Japanese Fusion not classic Japanese.
