Sakae sushi at changing airport was disgusting. I left half my food uneaten and almost puked afterwards. You are better off eating your underwear.

Spent $ 60 for two people who ate quite a lot. What we ordered: — ebi fry curry rice with miso soup — some kind of ramen soup with seafood — plate with 4 pieces of eel sushi — one sashimi plate — green tea x2 I’m giving this 3 stars only because there is better Japanese food elsewhere, but overall, it was what we were looking for. It was very quiet at 3pm in the afternoon on a weekday and the place was clean enough. Service was good. If you spend $ 60 you get a free Sakae Sushi card with a special birthday offer and I think a $ 20 voucher. The cashier guy will tell you more. If you want delectable gourmet Japanese food, go elsewhere. If you just want a place to chill with friends and have decent Japanese food, this is okay. Oh and there is Japanese beer now.

You know you have definitely tasted better sushi than what is served at Sakae Sushi, but you will just visit Sakae once in a while to satisfy your Japanese food craving because it is conveniently located and the food are reasonably priced. That holds true for this outlet as well. But one thing special about this outlet is that there are tatami seats. You can request for that if they are available. Over the years, Sakae did make some improvement by introducing new dishes to the menu. That’s a pretty good sign! Overall, decent and good enough I guess!
