Decent place to have Indian food… Quantity less with respect to price quoted… Overall a decent Indian restaurant if you’re u have Indian food craving and not less options near by.

Overpriced and small portions but pretty decent dosai and palak paneer. The masala dosai and a tea cost close to $ 10. This place is like the only Indian food we can find in the malls here, so we have to make do when the Indian food cravings hit!

‘Prata Wala’ simply means ‘Prata Man’ in Hindi; a person who serves pratas. But honestly, whatever experience I have with this local franchise have been downright awful. Firstly, is their waiting time. Second, is the attitude of the staffs, and last but importantly, their food. I’m a fan of Indian cuisine. And to compare the taste of their ‘Indian’ food and those I’ve tasted elsewhere is laughable. Throw in some Indian staffs behind the glass screen making the pratas, and voila! Proof you’re eating authentic ethnic grubs. Meh! The staffs especially would give you that heck care attitude who just seem to ignore you despite seeing a customer at the counter. It’s not until I gave a loud sarcastic remark did they attend to my Mum. It’s almost the same in all the outlets I’ve been to. Either they’re doing it on purpose due to low payouts or they were simply lazy bums, I wouldn’t know. Coming to the food, like I said, way below my standards. If you want real Indian food, go somewhere else; like Komala’s or Sakunthala’s. Our murtabaks were soggy and taste funny. Vadais were hard. Dhosais were so-so… Guh! Can’t even-… ngahh!

I went to lunch here with a colleague. It has recently reopened. You place your order in a line-up. They provide you with a number and bring your food to the table. First, all of the food looks amazing. The flavors match their presentation. There is not a tremendous amount of seating but it seems that folks flow through pretty quickly. Even though it was very busy, we did not have any trouble finding a table to save. We made it through the line quickly and placed our ordered. Soon after we sat down, our food started to arrive. The Dum Chicken Biryani was very good. There was a nice blend of spices with a nice floral touch. The rice was perfectly cooked. The samosa was very good. It was crispy on the outside and super flavorful on the inside. I also enjoyed the potatoes. The garlic naan was very good. It was very fresh and had a slight crispness to it that I truly enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The ambiance is clean and functional. It is very basic. But, for a quick quality lunch, I really do not require more. I would certainly have lunch here again. The food was as good as most of the food I’ve enjoyed in Little India.
