This is the Korean answer to western salads. Choc-a-bloc with fresh vegetables galore, Asian-styled proteins, atop a steamed rice layer, and tossed with lashings of a thinned-out gochujang, each bowl is refreshing, wholesome, and totally gratifying. The Japanese-influenced Teriyaki Chicken Bibimbap($ 8.50), laden with julienned lettuce and cabbage, fried crumbs, shredded seaweed, may look minuscule in comparison with the humongous bowl, but it was actually very substantial. Add the gochujang in small increments, as a little goes a long way, and it can get quite saccharine in large doses. The Warm Noodles with Soy($ 7.90), with julienned carrots and cucumbers, shredded lettuce and seaweed, and fried minced pork, was a lovely balance of the crunchy-and-chewy, sweet-and-savoury Pictures are at

I eat here at least once a week. In contrast to their sister restaurant where the food seems to be getting more expensive and the service seems to be getting worse, this place has great bibimbap for under $ 10. I usually order the beef bulgogi. The woo samgyup is actually extremely spicy, which is typically not the case in Korea. My Korean fiancé usual orders the seafood bibimbab. The steamed eggs are also pretty good. I don’t like Tteokbeokki in general, but it is apparently good here.

If you’re craving for some authentic bibimbap, you’ve come to the right place. Officially presented like a bistro, the entire set-up feels more like a fuss-free bibimbap fast food place. The place is rather small and it gets crowded come meal times. verdict: — Beef Bibim — Portion looks large at first glance. After having my first spoonful of the rice, I knew I could finish the entire portion! The food was tasty and delicious without it being overly ‘salty’ and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Just hope that they will keep out this standard over time. The rice came with a small bowl of soup which was a plus to me as I am the kind that needs some soup with every meal! Besides rice, they also serve noodles(warm or cold versions). I saw a Caucasian couple next to me slurping up the warm noodles and it looks delicious! Will definitely come back again to give the warm noodles a try!

Paik’s Bibimbap is a great new addition to Vivocity. Located on the second floor, this dine-in/take-away place distinguishes itself from Bornga and other Korean joints by offering fresh Bibimbap and not much else. We like the bibimbaps here. With plenty of veggies and lightly seasoned meat or tofu over plain rice(or noodles), it is a healthier option. The red sweet and spicy paste completes the dish perfectly. Be warned, however, that there are pictures of different dishes on their walls that might allure you in. Unfortunately, As I was told(and so was another customer ahead of me), some of those are not on the menu. A must-try for Bibimbap fans!
