This is where we bought his Under Armour Shoes. Mall has good size for shopping and Mid Range boutiques for people in budget and those who want luxury. We were here twice because we had to go back to get the GST Refund ticket :)

Fanciest mall I’ve ever seen. Highlights: — Library: completely futuristic and cool. Stunning opening with a line of magazines up the side. — Art: big watches as benches and huge Alice in Wonderland type shoes around kept it interesting. — Flight simulator: like for a real commercial airplane. Was impressive — Naiise store: fun and nice souveniers like rainbow cake earrings — Barber: sign for a haircut and whiskey I found amusing — View from the side deck: bit gardeny and overlooking the city Lowlights: — Not too populated and many seemingly high end stores — Bit hard to navigate with 2 different sides attached by walkways in between Nice place to browse around for a bit. Would love to hang out in that library more.

Orchard Gateway is the mall connecting Orchard Central and 313@Somerset and as such is part of the little bit confusing mall complex above Somerset MRT station. It is a fairly nice mall that also houses a hotel(Hotel Jen, it a brand in the Shangri-La family of hotels — most of them formerly known as Traders Hotel), several shops and a library. The F&B offering is not much to get excited about but I do like some of the shops here. The highlights are a good Nike shop, a three floor Crate&Barrel store(furniture and houseware retailer) as well as some cool stores like J Lindeberg(a favorite of mine), Swatch and UnderArmour. On its own this mall is perhaps nothing special but when looking at it together with Orchard Central and 313@Somerset it is still well worth to come here. The convenience of also being able to access it straight from the MRT station is also a plus.

my first shopping centre review for SG! this mall seamlessly bridges 313 with orchard central. you can walk, sheltered from the elements and in air-conditioned comfort, from desigual right up to the stretch of bars on 313’s end. an all weather overhead bridge connects, the yet to complete, orchard gateway @ emerald. for now, it serves as a viewing gallery right above a busy stretch of orchard road. this used to be where specialist centre and hotel phoenix stood. fond memories of hanging around times book shop in the basement or at the bus stop, just to chase skirts in the form of light blue pinafores. the colourful moving visual imagery walls, floors and columns, livens up the indoors and provides a welcoming distraction, especially to those who are merely accompanying their loved ones, shopping their money away. ocbc premier banking has opened. nike has opened. national library will be coming in Q32014. singapore’s visitors centre will be here. traders hotel will be adding 500 guestrooms. somerset mrt directly below will also ensure that you, sweatlessly, step in and strut out.
