Want a perfect place to have a beer and see the Merlion? Look no further than here the food is bar food, pizza, fries, wings. But the beer is cold and tall! Want to relax and have a beer and pizza after a long day look no further… Did I mention the nice view?!

Checked out Molly Roffey’s for a meetup event to meet some new people in Singapore. We were there around 4:30p, and it was very comfortable sitting in the open air with a free concert outside, ships cruising peacefully along and the Merlion happily spouting water in the distance.
We had a mix of beer and soda drinkers and the staff was efficient and attentive, happy to bring refills on the free snack mix bowls. I have to say that I am still astounded by the prices (e.g., Tiger draft or bottle for $ 12), but this appears to be par for the course in Singapore, especially in the higher rent areas like the Esplanade.
PARTING THOUGHT: While I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to return to Molly Roffey’s, I will definitely keep it in mind if I ever want to grab an al fresco drink in the area
