I tried the baked pepperoni pasta from the Lenas menu. It was quite tasty. The extra $ 3 for the baked, melted layer of cheese over the top was well worth it. The beef pepperoni added a subtle meaty flavor, but didn’t do a lot for the dish. The marinara sauce was suitable and the pasta was cooked to standard. The dishes run around $ 15 each. The environment is quite confusing and chaotic. Entering the place is most strange. It appears to be three or more separate restaurants from the outside, but in reality it is some kind of co-op with multiple restaurants, employees, and menus mashed together. They employ a roaming server method, so you have to grab anyone who passes by or sees you to take your order. Payment is made at a single register for all of the restaurants.

I’m certified addicted. Where else in the world beyond Singapore can I get a Seafood Soufflé with all the shrimp, crab, mussels, eggs, tomato and(was it lobster?) for a breakfast(I’m starting to re-think how I should have breakfast for now on). I never went for lunch or dinner(Japanese and Western range favorites), but I imagine next time I’ll be back eating and drinking up a storm. Note: Other family members had egg or vegetable souffles, much variety. Second note: Service to me was«not painfully slow.» Just right, with smiles.

Had the Grilled chicken egg-sauce set meal that comes with garlic rice and soup of the day. Portions were big(for me at least) and I can’t finish it by myself. It’s Japanese-Western fusion, so if fusion food is your kind of thing, this might be the place to tantalise your tastebuds. For me I thought it was pretty okay… Nothing to shout about, BUT the Matcha drink with ice cream is to die for if you are a matcha fan like me. ABSOLUTELYHEAVENLY. Service was quick, unlike what the previous reviewer mentioned. But I felt like I was rushed into my seat and rushed to have my order taken by the waiter, which was actually quite unpleasant especially when I was looking forward to have a nice meal after a stressful day at school.

Never going back again due to extremely poor service, below average food, small servings and high price(high as in it does not commemorate with the food quality).

Recently opened at Jurong Point is a subsidiary of Ministry of Food(MOF) called Lena. From first glance, they serve a different menu of mostly Westernized dishes such as pastas and pizzas apart from the usual Japanese food items from MOF. Service was painfully slow, and it took us almost 15 minutes to be seated despite being noticed by 3 different staff members who seemed to not know what to do with us — strange! The food was served slower than usual, and the portion was so small I was literally done in 10 mouthfuls. I ordered the Carbonara Pasta, which came served in a huge asymmetrical dish that looked impressive, but tasted only mediocre. The boyfriend’s Beef Steak was overly done even after ordering it only Medium Well, and tough to chew. MOF should stick to their Japanese food that they do so well; if you’re looking for Western food at Jurong Point, I recommend going elsewhere.
