5 stars for its ikan bilis fried rice — nice curry flavour with fresh shrimps and excellent sambal belachan chilli. The self made barley drink is very good.
Generally the food served here will put many Chinese Zi Char/​restaurants to shame in terms of flavour and freshness of ingredients.

I’ve come here countless times… And almost always in a horde of hungry young people. Church is nearby, so we come after youth group meetings and take 20-​something seats, and make lots of noise. Thankfully, we eat enough to continue to be welcome. It’s one of those comforting neighbourhood mamak shops — sit by the road, and wolf down your hor fun or nasi goreng, down a teh ais, and if you’re a little greedy (or peckish), order the chicken basket. Everything is forgotten, an the world is right again.
