This K Box is pretty infamous for me. If you want to know why, ask Ricky S. I’ve been here a few times, and it’s aight. The building it’s in is dated and kind of creepy at night. The escalators are always turned off by then so if you’re lazy or in heels, you’ll have to depend on the one lift in the building to get to the 4th floor. The rooms are spacious, air conditioned, and clean(for the most part.) Song choices are interesting– they do have very current songs with their music videos(I was surprised to see Katy Perry’s «Roar» and Lorde’s «Royals») but some of the classics that I expect(like Journey’s «Don’t Stop Believing» and Britney Spears’ «Oops! I did it again») are nonexistent. They don’t have a remote control or binders of songs; everything is on a touch screen. It sounds pretty high tech but it’s a bit confusing to navigate and not very user friendly. The staff will always push you to get a bottle or do some crazy drink package, so be prepared to deal with the constant upsell. When I went with Nik T. and Julien D. last time, Nik introduced me to the most underrated drink on the menu: hot honey lemon tea. I was amazed at how good it was and it really helped me from losing my voice! And of course, no hangover afterwards. For all those hard core karaōke singers out there, consider drinking this instead of alcohol, so you can belt out those tunes for 5 hours straight!
