Good dim sum selection and quality. Recently renovated with a fresh but still nice traditional look and feel. We particularly like the wanton noodle and pork meat dumpling as they are very good :-)

It’s unfortunate when you leave an eatery remembering the décor more than the food but I truly was looking forward to lunch after I sat down on the nostalgic looking marble tables and wooden chairs. Ordered a variety of dishes and here are the items that stood out to me: 1. The fried beancurd skin roll was good and I wished we had ordered seconds of this versus some of the other dishes. It’s a savory filling wrapped in beancurd skin and deep-fried — moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. 2. The lotus leaf rice was pretty good too. It had a nice proportion of ingredients to glutinous rice and the flavors combined well together. 3. Wonton noodles were a surprising hit. I liked the consistency of the noodles since they had a real«spring» to them and that’s half the battle to good wonton noodles. The porridge and thai-style fried tofu are alright but forgettable dishes overall. The char siew pau unfortunately was a total miss which is ironic given the namesake of the restaurant. I found the skin of the bun too thick in proportion to the filling and overall a little tough. With that said, prices are good and food is delivered fast since much of it is pre-prepared and ready to go already so you’re in and out in no time.

Expect coffee shop standard dimsum, not restaurant quality. Skin of pao is a little too thick for me.
