After spending a week in Novena, there seems to be a real dearth of bars in the area. So in a way, Harry’s doesn’t have much competition, and as a chain, it can lack certain character. But there is a decent selection of beers, draft and bottles, reasonable prices on wines by the glass, and decent selection of liquor, including Jaegermeister kept cold :). Also, the food menu is interesting as includes some bar staples that are difficult to find in the states, such as sloppy joes. I wish that they would have a greater selection of scotch and bourbon, and while they had cachaca, the caipirinha was weak. But overall, Harry’s is convenient, reasonably priced, and a nice spot to grab a drink while passing through Novena.
