Sparse menu with banal coffee, accompanied by barely-there service. I had high expectations coming here, considering the number of 4-star reviews it had on Unilocal. It wasn’t my first choice for brunch but my original destination was closed and this was the only thing open in the area at 10am on a Sunday morning.(Seriously?) The place is simply decorated, not spartan but certainly not as cosy as I liked. Tables were spaced too-far apart, I felt like I was in a furniture shop. Come to think of it, a furniture shop would probably have been more cozy. Really limited breakfast menu consisting of 5 sets. We had the English breakfast(which sounded better than it was) and the eggs benedict. English breakfast was okay, scrambled eggs, bread and baked beans were a 3/5, everything else was cold and meh. I did not try the eggs benny but my friend said that she was unimpressed. Service was really sad and there was a grand total of 2 staff running the floor– 1 at the coffee machine/cashier and another poor guy running around as the sole server. Oh and he didn’t speak much English, which was fine when ordering(that’s what pointing is for) but frustrating when I had to ask 3TIMES about my hot mocha. I think he did a decent job considering that he had 30+ customers to attend to, on top of the language barrier. It was no fault of the server but the lack of staff was definitely not acceptable for such a large café. More time was spent waiting than eating. Would not recommend, would not return.

I randomly visited this place for brunch. Even the restaurant was only half full, the service was terrible! I constantly had to chase down staff for basic items like the menu and water. Food was not very good either. I ordered the fruit & yogurt bowl, and the yogurt was very watery and they put powdered sugar on top which gave it a very displeasing taste & texture. Given the many better brunch choices in Singapore, I will not come back to Farm to Table

Expensive. No cake of the day. Tried the chocolate macadamia cookie. Dry. Bitter. Lemonade was loaded with sugar not stirred. Basically, I had to make the lemonade. Didn’t try the food so it may be better. Hence, giving two stars rather than one.

We stumbled upon this spot while we were in China Town. It’s a little off the beaten path but a good find none-the-less. My husband and niece got coffee and found it to be very strong. The flat white proved to be more mellow but the coffee is definitely for serious drinkers. The food was delicious. Service was a bit slow but overall the experience was good.

Chances upon this café while my friends and I strolled on Duxton Hill area. Thought that it will be expensive place to chill but was pretty reasonable. We came at around 10.30 on a Monday morning. Was seated quickly and were given the corner view(a plus) so we can absorb the scenery outside as well. Love the simplicity yet modern look for the interior design. Has a bit of classic touch to it as well. Servers came over to check on our needs pretty fast and they are understanding especially when we took awhile before coming to a conclusion on what to get — all american breakfast and toast set. Wanted to try their pumpkin lasagne or the chicken pie but we were too early for that. Dishes came pretty quickly and it was pretty good for its quality and portion. Heard the lattes are good too. Overall, it is quite a good chilling place and will definitely make a visit again in the near future :)

Check in/tag on instagram or facebook for 10% off! It also opens early everyday so I can go before work! The coffee is good and yummy and consistent. Pulling shots from Nylon beans. I’m not sure why but latte is $ 5.50 and flat whites and caps are $ 5. It’s tastier than the Ronin Genovese coffee. My friend works there so I sometimes go to say hi and enjoy a quiet read before work. Baristas there are experienced — Jewel, Joe and Dough for the ones I’ve talked to. They had quite a limited food menu at first but they’re trying to expand slowly. I come quite often because I can get some basic options reliably with fresh bread, avocado, eggs and it’s not expensive. Brek choices are straightforward but prices better than most similar places. I’ve tried the waffles(I think $ 14 for 23inch squares), eggs toast and salad($ 12), add avocado $ 2, and new option to add sausage($ 3) — I picked the veal and it was good! I’ve had the plate of viennoiserie which is mini pastries like croissant, apple puffs etc and it’s buttery light and flaky very good. $ 5 for 5 or you can try asking for 2 croissants(they charged me $ 2). I like a place that is flexible. They just stopped serving sourdough but now have brioche and foccacia. It’s very quiet when I go early in the mornings on weekdays and I enjoy the serenity and space. The staff have no airs so it just feels very laidback and comfortable to me. Early morning parking is plentiful right outside on the road. Try avocado on toast with a pinch of salt! Breakfast of champions.
