Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill

Great personal service by the manager. Exactly what a good manager should be doing going table to table speaking with guests, she was great.
The barbequed chicken is always my favorite and I enjoyed it. My wife had the rainbow trout, which was delicious and truly a rainbow trout. Another upscale restaurant in Singapore, the Shangri-​la, tried passing off salmon as rainbow trout for their Christmas lunch item, Dan Ryan’s knows the difference. Mushroom soup was great too.
I’ve been eating at Dan Ryan’s (Windy City) restaurants since the first one opened in Hong Kong in the early 90s and always enjoy the American midwest flavor of the place.

The food here is great! Every now and then I start missing American food and this place is about as close to home as I’ve found in Singapore.
Service has improved but is still a little lacking in the speed and friendliness departments. Don’t let that keep you from checking it out though. Its definitely worth a try!

It’s a shame really as the food was pretty tasty. The Bloody Mary was excellent. But as soon as the food was out, the server disappeared.

If you are an American this place pretty much sucks. Do not order the steak for sure. The tbone wax paper thin so it was well done when though I ordered medium rare. Replaced with filet but tasted odd… avoid

Probably the best style of American cuisine on the island. They put a lot of effort into the way it looks and feels inside as if you are actually going to a middle to high end American chain steakhouse. Ok, clearly this is a novelty place for Europeans and Americans to go live it like they were back in the states. By no means should they you expect a Morton’s or a Ruths Chris. If you did please exit this conversation.
ABSOLUTE BEST TIME TO GO is on Super Bowl Sunday (well for Singapore is Monday morning). American School kids, executives, and anyone that likes the NFL will be there in the wee hours of the morning watching the game, eating a hearty breakfast of steak, eggs, and other food. Drinking mimosas, bloody marys and beers. When I was in high school I remember getting blotto and then showing up with a note that was clearly fake. Then the receptionist puts it on top of a huge stack of other clearly fake notes regarding a convenient doctors appointment or whatever. oh, the hilarity.
I am a fan because of the memories I get when I go there.

Dan Ryan’s is a good place to go for some authentic American food. Portions are American sized and their menu has a nice variety of different American dishes. Go for their hamburger or baked ziti.
On Thanksgiving, they have a traditional American meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and sides. They also have a nice daily set lunch, which is satisfying for the price.
