A few colleagues and I headed over to Jalan Besar for an afternoon of sound recording at a studio nearby and chanced upon this Wonton noodle place at a coffee shop nearby. Ordered the dry wanton noodles with additional fried wanton. The sauce was pretty tasty with the right amount of seasoning. The texture of the noodles was just right, not too soggy nor too tough. The fried wanton werent too greasy and had the crunch with every bite. The soup wanton was supple and skin was thin. This place is supposedly popular for their braised chicken feet but i didnt order that. Though looking at the next table, it seems rather tempting and delicious. At $ 2.50 a plate, this is really good price, good food, cannot deny!

It’s ok. Better than food court standard but not good enough to make a trip for. The entire coffee shop is mainly for the noodles. The good thing is you just need to order, grab a number tag and find a seat. You don’t have to stay in line so that makes it much more tolerable in the heat these days. They serve up two types of wanton in their noodles: fried and in soup. Really good value for money for the price. Most of the people are also there for the braised chicken feet, which you can also have it on the noodles or as a side dish. The chicken feet is stewed with lots of succulent mushrooms and oyster sauce. This is not a dish for everyone. Their version is also slightly different from the dimsum version. So it may appeal more to some and less to others. An option for breakfast /lunch if you are in the area. They open from 7am to 2pm.
