This is my go-to grocery store when I need to get bulky items. Parking is convenient with a complimentary 1st hour. I can push the shopping cart to the car and load the groceries. The only gripe will be unless you park«head in», you have to make a few trips to load your items as there is no space between the rows of parking spots to push the shopping cart in. It is 24 hours which also makes it a great place for days when you suddenly remember you need something. It also offers free cup of coffee(no sugar when I was there) from the dispenser. Personally I find it hard to drink a cup of coffee while shopping and pushing a cart. There is a Cedele in store and you have the option to pay there or get a chit to pay at the cashier together with your grocery and then pick up your baked goods after that. The option is endless with way more choices than most Cold Storage(Great World City and Plaza Singapura outlets are equally good in variety). You can get products from USA/UK. Pillsbury ready made dough, anyone? I don’t like the check out counters after the renovation as I find the space narrower and harder to maneuver the shopping cart towards the cashier further in. The self service check out machine is also not as intuitive as NTUC Fairprice as discounts or special promo prices are still not read automatically. You will need the staff to manually override the scanned price.

24 hours a day and slightly more ‘western’ in it’s stock range. This is a very pleasant place for grocery shopping and the range of foods that the Cold storage group of supermarkets offer are slightly more veered toward the more ‘westernized’ section of society. This would be the place to pick up ingredients and foods to prepare western meals and dishes. I’m not saying they have every European spice for western cuisine(you might need to look at Jones the Grocer or Jason’s for more specific grocery needs) but they have a good selection. Be prepared to pay about 10– 15% more in terms of total price tag compared to Fairprice. The main draw for me is that it’s open 24 hours a day and it’s conveniently located(for me anyway).
