Went there for the mixed waxed sausage and meat fried rice, but I was disappointed when informed that they didn’t serve it anymore(although the online and onsite menu still have it listed). Went for the fish roe fried rice instead with a glass of ice yin yang(mix coffee and tea). Nothing special on the rice for me considering the price, just rice with fish roe, although it’s nice to find a place that serves ice yin yang in Singapore. Also, this place only accept credit card for transaction exceeding SGD20.

I love the food at this place. I moved from Hong Kong to Singapore eons ago and have not managed to find any restaurants in Singapore serving good Hong Kong Café-style ie «Cha Chan Teng food»(Xing Wang is Blehhh btw way). But now Café de Hong Kong seemed to have filled this void in my life. I had their famed Mentaiko fried rice and salt and pepper pork chop. The salt and pepper pork chop is good in a home-y way, exactly how my mum will do it at home. Love it. The mentaiko(fish roe) fried rice you HAVEEEEE to try it!!! It sooo gooodddd. The fried rice is nicely coated with egg and al dente, the mentaiko adds extra texture to the dish, making every mouthful of rice extra fragrant. I want to go back and eat it right now. We also had this dumpling thing that is made using egg whites, I am not a fan of dumpling things, but the fiancé liked it. Plus, did I mention? The owner is from Hong Kong, feels like home to me! :)
