I arrived at the restaurant at 6.30pm, 30% of the tables were already preserved. However, I got a seat immediately. I had a chicken rice set (chicken rice+vegetable+soup). It’s only 6.5SGD (I ordered drumstick so I had to add 0.5 $ on)
I love the chicken and the rice but not pretty much the soup. I definitely come back again.

We keep coming back to the grouper soup with milk! The chicken rice with cabbage is $ 6 and great value. Other worth a try dishes are brinjal (eggplant) in a hot pot and the cereal tofu. Its probably my favourite greasy spoon place on Tan Quee Lan — with the more famous fish restaurant next to it generally having long queues, this is probably a good second choice.
