This place is nothing more than a high class hooker pick up joint. If you’re into paying for sex, it’s the perfect spot. Not for me.

Yes, yes, yes we all know BRIX is known for working girls. BUT not just any working girls, the highest class working girls on the Red Dot! BRIX is absolutely a tourist trap and you know what, it’s a MUSTVISIT locale if you are a visitor to Singapore. Let’s say you are from your New York or any other major city in the United States, I’m 100% sure there is nothing like this place back home. If you have any hesitation about going to BRIX, think about this — dream about going to a club where over 75% of the girls are smokin hot, the girl to guy to ratio is ATLEAST50⁄50 or better, where most of the girls want to hit on you, GUARANTEED! You’ll almost get the feeling you have game, when in reality they are just after your money. :D Even if you are on a date, this is a great place to make your date work a little harder for your attention, making her a little jelly in the process. :-) In all seriousness, this is a great place to hangout, guys and girls alike. The place is clean and classy. The band is absolutely fantastic — they are American after all. :-) and the cover at $ 30 per person for BOTH guys and girls won’t break the bank — you get a free drink to boot. **Full disclosure my wife(aka«the boss») was with me during my last trip and she absolutely loved it – see previous review.** I guess this is my version of a hall pass. Haha! For you married guys, like me, think of this place as the ultimate eye candy. — Although I still think my wife is most beautiful woman in the world :-) PS — if you are a local, don’t bother coming here. You won’t understand the appeal that expats and tourists have for a place like this. For those who grew up in a Puritan society, this for you is like being a kid in the candy store.

Big Sean couldn’t have said it any better: «White girls, black girls, tall girls, fat girls Shake that ass shake that ass, shake that ass… Go, go Short girls, smart girls, skinny girls, all girls Shake that ass shake that ass, shake that ass…» This place has a reputation. Although it’s a hotel club(it’s in the basement of the Grand Hyatt) the crowd is a mix of hotel guests, expats, maybe a few locals, and working girls. You can really find all different types of girls, and to be honest, they were well dressed and GORGEOUS. So. Many. Sweater. Puppies. And sky high heels. Despite their reputation, my husband and I had a great time!* I found the music a lot better than a lot of the clubs in MBS and Clarke Quay. They had an energetic live cover band that played very current songs, and lots of people were dancing on the floor. Even when the band took a break, the DJ still played updated music. Also, the ambiance was not sleazy. It was clean, and I liked how there were lots of different spaces to suit your mood– wine bar, sports bar, and dance floor. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the $ 30 cover charge is worth it for the ambiance, crowd, and music! – *That’s right– I allowed my husband to go here… with my supervision, LOL!

This nightclub is collocated within the hotel property, though it has its own separate entrance, accessible solely from the street, directly in front and on the side of the hotel main entrance. It is free for hotel guests; otherwise there’s a cover, which is around $ 30 – 35. Ida is spot on in her review. The cave-like setting has excellent air conditioning, and the live band with vocals were quite good, and was ostensibly the draw for the crowd.

BRIX is an enigma for me. Ostensibly, it is a seedy place, a nightclub for working girls and the ex-pat men who love them. And yet, late on a Saturday night, it was actually quite a fun place to hang out for girls, once we got over the pricey cover and drinks. There is an air of eternal summer about the place, a sense of fun and optimism playfully pervades the inner cynic. A lot of this is brought about by the high energy music played by the DJs and performed by the high energy house band. The music includes a hefty dose of reggaeton and dance pop, beguiling patrons to get up and shake what their mommas gave them. PARTINGTHOUGHT: For you smokers, there’s also a separate smoking room inside
