BreadTalk

Needed a birthday cake for a friend’s birthday on the pronto, so I headed to a nearby Breadtalk and they have a huge variety of cream cakes for sale. Most of their cakes are light sponge cakes.
Decided to go with a strawberry shortcake at $ 36, I think it was a bit pricey, as it was very small and barely able to serve 8 pax.
The strawberries were big and sweet, and the cake was very light. I could definitely devour this whole cake without getting a sore throat or feeling heaty.
All in all, a great choice for those who do not like chocolate cakes, and need a cake for a sudden occasion.

The place seemed smaller after the renovation and Toast Box has moved right next to it.
In the morning, you can see a line sometimes as people are buying buns for their breakfast. My favorite is the bacon & egg or ham & egg sandwich which are freshly made daily. There is something quite addictive about the sauce (or mayo) which made the sandwich very appealing. The crunchy shredded cucumber is also very refreshing when paired with the warm egg and bacon (I prefer bacon over the ham).
The only drawback about the location is you can see some pigeons wandering into the bakery, looking for scraps of food.
