Friendly bartenders and nice ambience. Drinks could be better.

First I impressions soon as I walk in Extremely polite bartenders, simplistic yet very unique interior, and a wall of unique spirits! Great start! Now drinks! The bar tenders are very helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted something that was Fernet Based in attempts to throw them off as this Italian liquor is not exactly a regular joe drink. And what he made me was magic, even came over and explained why he chose to pair it with the items he chose. We also went with some standard items from the cocktail menu. The Kaya toast was an obvious standout albeit a bit sweet for my taste. Everything else was a wonderland of bourbon . The food was also awesome. My groups increasing state of inebriation led us to order everything from the menu. Standouts include the curry chicken bites, pizza and the macho nachos. Will def come back here many times

Where to start with this review. This place is just the most charming place in the street. I walked passed for the longest time, thinking it was(most probably) a new Korean BBQ place, under construction. By chance I discovered it through the back ally. What a refreshing discovery! According to the menu you pick your poison and how you want it(fresh, sweet, bitter, spicy, etc.) and let the the bartenders get at it. BUT, you don’t have to play it by the rules. Tell the bartender a dream, a smell, a taste; and let him go, go, go. I told him of my love for Fernet Branca … he created an explosion of taste … all underlined by the bitterness of the Italian bitter. Oh, and they have food too but I wouldn’t know anything about that … I’m on a liquid diet in the heaven of fabulous of cocktails creations!

What an awesome little bar with wicked people running it. Fiona is an awesome person and was happy to give me recommendations on other great bars and restaurants to check out during my time in Singapore. As I’ve fallen hard for kaya since first coming to Singapore, she recommended the Kaya Toast cocktail, an original recipe from the geniuses at B&L. Here’s a tip, try the Kaya Toast cocktail! It’s a drink unlike anything I’ve ever had before, and I loved every sip of it. It’s quite sweet, and as someone with not much of a sweet tooth, I wouldn’t have more than 1 of them, but if you like sweet drinks, it’s right up your alley. 5 stars for the staff, the space, and the drinks.

New location, same awesome staff and drinks, Bitters & Love has to the financial district, but has lost none of its charm from its old location. Gone, though, is the café/restaurant in front. The room seems even darker than before and the décor is an interesting mix of concrete, wood, and metal. For the most part, I stick to classic cocktails, and I am leary about bespoke drinks, but for the most part, I have enjoyed just about every drink here. I really enjoyed the bourbon/amaretto combo last time, and I love the fact that it isn’t pigeon holed into a single liquor — I can find good whiskey, run, gin, and vodka here. Bar food is above average, with the beef cubes being especially delicious(wagyu beef seasoned simply with salt arriving in a sizzling cast iron pan!), but skip the nachos. The pace can get quite busy on weekends, but the service still excels. I love the quieter weekday nights though. Bitters & Love was the 3rd bar I visited when I moved to Singapore last year, but it’s one that keeps me coming back despite the number of new places that keep popping up.

Friendly people, easy to order cocktails(which never fails to surprise me!) and I love the selection of gin here!

This is my first time here. They’ve moved from the previous location at Clark quay and it was admittedly hard to find them. But it was a relatively quiet night when I was here and it was fantastic. Service is great, food is awesome and the drinks were fantastic. We order the fried curry chicken, beef cubes(mad amazing!!) Truffle chips and char siew sliders. For the drinks we got From the Grapevine, lovestoned and kaya toast. Kaya toast was pretty amazing and this is coming from a non-kaya fan. Pity a couple of drinks I wanted like pablo’s arumagam and trident’s truce were out too. Would have loved to try them if I could. Will definitely come back with friends next time!
