I Love this place. The best Mediterranean food. I normally go for dinner and I love the Falafel, Chicken Wings and Hummus with chilled draft Hoegarden. I had lunch as well couple of times and the lunch sets are very very good. Great ambiance and great service too. A bit costly but worth a try …

Love Kazbar. Great business lunch and also casual dinner spot. The large fattoush salad(S$ 15) and mixed grill(complete with 3-lamb chops S$ 42) is a worthy meal for 3-diners. The last Friday evening of every month features belly dancers. Highly recommended.

Good Mediterranean food in Singapore is as rare as a Graff diamond, so it surprised me when one of my work friends recommended Kazbar for food. I’ve been to Kazbar many times for drinks as it’s on the bar stretch and they offer the usual cheap drinking specials on the row. On two recent occasions I had dinner there and was pleasantly surprised. First, if you venture into the restaurant itself(yes beer-ed up CBD folks, the bar has a restaurant), you’ll find a souq filled with day beds, tables and a mosaic-tiled bar. There’s loud Middle Eastern music to fill the air and I heard there used to be belly dancers. Food wise, I had hummus, tabbouleh, kebabs, chicken wings, lamb chops, the excellent shish taouk and some ground lamb thing stuffed in some flat bread or tortillas to look like quesadillas. Every dish was quite authentic and I particularly liked the hummus and chops. I would add that portions are pretty good for the price. In all, a great find and it shows in the restaurant’s longevity.
