This place was ok. We’ve been there a few times but have not been blown away. The menu shows pictures with relatively small portions and the prices are pretty low so we ordered a few dishes. The portions are actually HUGE, be careful! I prefer the tofu lemongrass. I don’t like veggie shrimps or fake ham and it seems to be in every other dish. Also, I was trying to find out if the veggie ham was actually vegan and they could not say. That’s really annoying when restaurants owners/servers don’t know what’s in their food. For that reason, I am not a big fan of this place.

I had my first Veggie BBH experience. And it was good! Yes! Veggie BBH! WHAT?! I have many things to say about this place. 1. Their meatballs. Or I guess veggie balls. Or tofu balls. Or whatever kind of balls were in my bowl of veggie BBH. It tasted SOGOOD! I was pleasantly surprised. 2. The broth. Loved it. I don’t know exactly what they used to make the veggie BBH broth but whatever the ingredients were, it worked! My only issue with the broth was that I wish it was hotter. I like my soup pipping hot! 3. I’m USUALLY not a fan of tofu, but the ones in the veggie BBH were pretty decent! Enough to make me eat them all! 4. Cauliflower. It might be a personal thing but I don’t like cauliflower. The only time I would consider eating it would be if it were in some chowder soup form, in Indian restaurants(I love Aloo Gobi), or if I steamed it and turned it into a pizza dough(yes, look up «Cauliflower Pizza». Try it! It’s delicious!). Bottom line: cauliflower was really tough to eat. Literally. It was crunchy. 5. I should’ve ordered the bigger bowl. The small square bowl was waaaay too small. Once I added in the bean sprouts I had a hard time mixing things together. Would I come back? Even though I would still prefer my regular meaty BBH, I’m a fan of the veggie BBH here. So yes I would come back. And I would opt for a LARGE bowl of veggie BBH. And maybe inquire about substituting the cauliflower for something else.

This restaurant is hands down one of the best vegetarian spots in the city. The veggie phở is amazing! Definitely no MSG used or corners being cut here like in many other places. It’s authentic, light, healthy and always delicious. Also the salad rolls are fantastic — the shredded bean curd is a wonderful addition that makes them different from others I’ve tried. The lemongrass chicken on rice is another favorite. Not too heavy but really satisfying and tasty. The service is casual but always friendly and comfortable. It’s in no ways upscale a joint, but clean, and has a family/community diner feel. Love the girlpower happening in the kitchen too!!!

So so good! Especially the spicy soup. They just had new dishes: veggie BBQ ribs and veggie crepes.

this restaurant is delicious. i do not eat red meat so i was so excited to try this place. i go frequently because the price is so reasonable and the food is so good. the waiters seem a little inexperienced, but they try their best. i will keep going back!

Surprisingly, this is the 3rd Viet on the Drive, with Red Pagoda leading the way… Only tried the iced coffee, other than the annoying round ice cube balls, a diff taste worth coming back for, but still not as amazing as my beloved Saigon One in DT. Clean, well-décor place, even with some booth seating. Good vibe, good location.

I go here all the time! And highly recommend it! The tofu rolls(or salad rolls with tofu), satay soup and the green papaya salad are a few of my favorites! The food is great, affordable and of course vegetarian! The staff of this little family run place is always great and smiling! They make a lot of the ingredients and even noodles from scratch! Much love for Three Jewels!

Food was tasty vegetarian. Best thing was the prices; dinner for two ~ $ 18.

I too am a beef phở lover, and so was shocked how delicious the soup is here. And, no MSG.

When I heard there was another place in Vancouver to get(legitimately) vegetarian phở, I was all over that. I had been meaning to go, and when I happened to be walking past hungry it seemed like the perfect time to drop in. I decided to go with the spicy veggie soup. The noodles were a surprise, I think instead of rice noodles they were udon noodles. The soup was somewhat spicy, but I still added a bit more hot sauce. The broth was a bit bland, so it needed the help anyways. The veggies were basically mushrooms. I think I recall a bit of cauliflower and some purple cabbage. So if you like mushrooms then go for it, but I picked mine out. I’m kind of torn. I think I would come back, but I just wasn’t overly satisfied after I finished. Looks like Hanoi Phở will remain my #1.

First I’d like to say it’s very exciting to have another new and ALLVEGGIE phở place on the drive. Great prices, nice décor inside, good food selection on the menu. But a few things that need serious improvement — — when my friend and I went about a month ago, it was freezing inside! Like, really freezing. Not good or cozy for the winter at all. — the food took forever to come. I mean with phở you expect it to come right away, after all it’s just a mix of precooked ingredients?!? — While the broth was generally tasty and the amount of veggies was great, and seemed fresh, the fake meat is of really low quality. Most of the fake meat bits were bordering on unpleasant. I’ve eaten enough different styles of fake meat dishes that I know this could be wayyyy better. I’d prefer less options of fake meat bits, but higher quality of whatever is used. I will totally go again and probably stick to just tofu and veggies, hoping the place will be warmer and the food come a lot more promptly.

Don’t come here for the décor, this place hasn’t got any of that, and not too much ambiance for that matter either. However, if you want a big bowl of hot veggie noodle soup, this is the place! Since it has finally decided to rain, and rain it shall for the next 6 months, its time to check out all the places I have bookmarked for veggie soup and pick my favourites so I know where I want to hibernate for the next two seasons. I ordered the spicy veggie soup which had a really good base flavour, it was spicy and flavourful without being too salty. My soup has thick noodles but it probably could have had more of them(I ordered the large cuz I was starving and I am actually surprised I finished it all), plus we ordered the veggie spring rolls, and I ate my half of them as well. The BF had a regular soup with skinny noodles, and he seemed happy with his choice. What I like about this place is that you never have to second guess what random things are floating in your soup, because everything at this restaurant is veggie, so you can chow down with confidence that nothing in your bowl is dead.

Sara M and I ventured down to Three Jewels this past weekend to enjoy some vegan Vietnamese. I eat beef phở quite regularly and I’ve had vegan phở before at a few places around the city so I had an idea of what to expect. Three Jewels does a pretty good job delivering Vietnamese food but veganized. The broth in the phở was flavourful but I really am not a fan of fake meat. I think the phở could use a lot more veggies and maybe a little bit of tofu. The veggie spring rolls were good. The rest of the vermicelli bowl was meh. You really do need to add the sauces to it. I loved the Vietnamese iced coffee, I will definitely come back for it. They offer both condensed milk and soy milk. #30DaysOfYelp 2⁄30

My pal and I came here to mourn Taiyo sushi and support the new veg establishment. We shared the veggie meatball Phở that was tasty overall, buuut we could have done without the meatballs. Just veg and more veg next time. It was my first experience with Phở in any capacity and I felt pleased. Sprouts, lime, all the steps. The broth was excellent. Next up #16. I can’t remember exactly what it was called, but it was a veggie spring roll type combo thing. YUM. With the 10% off grand opening discount, we both ate for $ 20ish. Tasty AND reasonably priced. It was pretty busy on our Saturday night and they are still ironing out just opening kinks… so I will give the disjointed service a pass. They were very friendly. I will be back to try more things. 2⁄30

not being a huge fan of vermicelli, i always order the fried yellow noodles. good variety of veggies and even better since they started including the veggie chicken in this dish. solid value for $ 6.99.

A vegan Vietnam restaurant is an interesting idea. The vegan shrimp rolls were excellent and the price too. The noodle soup with vegetables and immitation meat or seafood are great tasting.

I went here during the grand opening with the Veg meetup group. I have tried Chau Veggie Express as well, and the dishes here are slightly different(which is a good thing) and very flavorful. My favorite was the Ban Hue spicy soup, it wasn’t too spicy but it was really delicious. I would have preferred it with thin rice noodles though, perhaps they gave us thick ones because the Phở we were also served had thin rice noodles. They have a lot more seating room than Chau Veggie which is good and portions are very large here too. I will definitely be back. All the food is vegan, the only thing that is vegetarian are the drinks as they use dairy in their bubble teas. But you can order it without that if you want.

So far we tried their Hue style noodle soup, spring rolls, lemongrass tofu and lemongrass chicken dishes, fresh mango and fresh coconut slushes. The food were so good(even though we didnt really care for the springrolls). The Hue soup was so good and tasty but i have to put in more hot sauce since it was not really spicy at all. Tracy from the previous review said there is no hot sauce on the table. it is not true at all. Me and my wife have been eating here since their opening and always on the tables there are 2 bottles(1 with hoisin and 1 with hot sauce). The thing impressed us is to see the owner cut and prepare fresh fruit for our smoothies. not many places do actually give u fresh fruits, usually the canned fruit or frozen fruit. The service was friendly and fast. Good location. Cheap. Yes, you can also go to Red Pagoda but I dont think they serve strictly vegan food there. 3 Jewels offer vegan food 100%(well, except those milk tea drinks). I even asked the owner to see the labels of spring rolls wrap to check if there is any egg in the ingredients list and no, there is no egg listed. Woot woot hurray.

go to red pagoda… i know it is their first week, but if you are going to open, be ready! food was mediocre at best. service was very friendly but totally unknowledgeable. their menu has no descriptions, when we asked about the dishes we got a lot of shrugged shoulders. we ordered a «special veggie soup» and ended up w/really gross veggie meatballs and sausage instead. i asked if this was the correct dish and was told yes, but it was clearly the item on the menu marked«soup w/meatballs»! and they were awful. the soup was bland, they have no chili sauce on the table. we also ordered the veggie spring roll vermicelli. save your calories. go to red pagoda up the street, the food is WAY better, awesome service, cheap. i am SO sad taiyo sushi is gone!!! it was where 3 jewels is now, they were THE best: O(bye bye taiyo i am only giving it 2 stars for effort. i would not go again.
