Truonh Thanh is the name of this place now, but they don’t have a Unilocal for it yet. Umm this was a meal that my first reaction was«do I really have to pay for this» ?? I got a mountain of white rice with a bit of sauce and a little bit of veggie on it :(Really this is a meal you serve people and charge money for. I could make this at home for $ 5.00 or less. What a waste of my time. The waitress told me the smoothie was super fresh(I’m the only one in the restaurant) I hear the microwave go on a couple times… for I’m assuming some defrosting, then a quick whizz of the blender with some ice and presto! A super fresh smoothie.. I will never go back. The staffed seemed like nice people, but their restaurant game is really lacking.

Great veggie Phở, especially for the price. As good as or better than other veggie Phở’s that I have had in Vancouver. Very fresh broth and a great combination of veggies. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the extra details of dried shallots and some veggie pork. Friendly service and basic décor. Don’t really understand why this place isn’t busier, it definitely fits the bill if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful veggie Phở.

Do not do it! The service was so slow we watched five different groups come in, sit down and rhen eventually just leave without having been talked to by staff. The phở was very average and took like 20mins to get served. Then the $ 3.95 beers(as advertised) turned out to be $ 5.95 and no amount of arguing with the server would do anything. After we paid the bill she ran back over to say we owed more(which we didn’t). Will never go back. Bring back the sushi!!!

Ordered: — Large Beef Special Phở — Spring Roll Phở — Portion-size and quality of the meat is average, The noodles were overcooked, and the phở broth was very salty, lacked depth and complexity(comparing to Thai Hang, Le Do, Song Huong — you get the picture). Price was $ 8 Spring Roll — Pretty average, was cut in half, the fish sauce that came with it was more on the bland side. Price was $ 1.25(if you order with a bowl of phở) The food was pretty average, in a neighborhood where there’s much better phở options. It’s difficult to convince myself to come back again.

Took about half am hour to get just a basic rare beef phở and once it finally showed up, the beef was really tuff. Granted it seemed like they were filling a huge order that was overwhelming the 3 staff working but it was empty inside and I have never waited that long for phở even on a busy phở restaurant. I just hope that if I decide to go back for whatever reason they have got it down more.

Another decent Vietnamese place on the Drive. Parking is available on the side streets, unless you feel like paying a bowl of phở’s worth of parking meters on Commercial. The interior is clean and relatively classy looking. It’s all about the lime green walls, which gives the place a nice bright ambience. The one lady working was very friendly and helpful. Bean sprouts and basil for the phở were nice and fresh. No spots on the basil. The beef steak and beef ball phở were quite delicious. Nice light soup, and no gristle in the beef balls. Very pleasant to eat. I will definitely be back at some point.

I came for veggie Phở… it was okay. Nothing really special. You could say veggie was fresh, little bit more seasoned broth would be nice. Portions are huge(I had to take out) Service is really nice and fast. I was alone in all restaurant although it was around noon. I cant decided if to go again– it was just all right

I think I miss the veggie phở place that used to be here. The Bun Bo Hue here was just okay. The broth didn’t have that really good BBH broth that my tastebuds have grown accustomed to. My friend had the regular phở(beef balls) and said it was also just okay. It has been renovated so things still seem nice and clean. Would I come back again? I don’t know. There aren’t that many good Phở options on The Drive though…

Came here for dinner with group of friends the other day. Waited forever, service was really slow. Ordered chicken vermicelli. The noodles were real dry, chicken tasted badly. When I was charged for something I didn’t order, told the lady that It wasn’t mine but she insisted it was mine. I ate 1 bowl that’s it. Never coming back rudest service ever.

#45(seafood) with yellow noodles was off the hook!!! The broth was so so so amazing. You have got to go! The egg roll was just okay. Very typical vietnamese eggroll — nothing out of the ordinary. Friendly service. Looks like ppl order take away here often.

Since it’s opened, this place never seems very busy… not sure why. Went for a quick dinner there. Food was fine, I had the lemon grass chicken with vermicelli noodles. Also got several bubble teas for my daughter and friends and they were freshly made. What keeps me from giving it a higher score is the general lack of atmosphere in the place. When we were there, the big screen tv was showing a football game that no one was watching, however it was distracting(I really hate tv’s in restaurants). Can’t say I’m dying to go back especially when there are other Phở restaurants nearby that I like more.

I was greeted by a friendly lady cleaning the floor. They just opened and business was quiet. The man behind the counter was on the phone. He waved to me and pointed for me to have a seat. I asked for to-go. He got off his phone and asked what I wanted. I ordered the Special Beef phở($ 8.95) and a honeydew slush with pearls($ 3.95). Phở portions were big for take out. Lots of meat and vegetables. Soup was pretty basic. Nothing special. They sell the idea of everything fresh and wasn’t disappointing. Meats, vegetables and fruit were all fresh.
