Great little bar along Granville Street. Cheap drinks with specials almost every night. Food specials are good too, spaghetti bolognese on Wednesday night’s for $ 5.99 is a highlight. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of drinks available and the bartenders are also a little easy on the eyes :)

This bar/restaurant is on the ground floor of a hostel, so it’s full of international travelers. The prices are great, and the food is tasty. Even if you’re not staying at the hostel, this bar is worth a visit.

I always have a good time at The Beaver and is usually a go-to place for starting a night out. I’ve had the food a few times and never had any complaints. However, a group of us went out for Trivia and ordered mini burgers, a hamburger with fries and nacho’s. The fries were under cooked, the hamburger tasted like sawdust, the mini burgers were dry and the nacho’s looked like somebody had sat on a bag of chips, put cheese on it, charged $ 20 and called them Nacho’s. Clearly the kitchen staff don’t even respect the food they serve. My complaints went unanswered. I’ll never eat there ever again.

This is an awesome place to grab a quick bite to eat or hang out for drinks with a large group of friends. It’s surprisingly hidden for a Granville St. establishment, but that actually seems to add to its greatness. The staff there are extremely friendly and even manage to recognize faces! I’d recommend ordering the nachos, theyre definitely the best nacho deal in town!

Came here to grab a quick bite to eat and drinks before heading out for a night on Granville. The place was pretty chill and the waiters were pretty friendly. Tried the mexican burger and wings which was pretty good. No complaints.

The Beaver is an groovy little restaurant underneath one of the biggest international backpackers in vancouver. This means that the food has a slight international flavour and the atmosphere of the restaurant is continually changing. It’s a great place to mingle and meet new people from around the world. The food has an apparent international flavour which has something for all diets, vegetarians included. Burger patties are made in house which give them a unique homestyle flavour. A selection of great salads(which you can add extras too), massive helping of nachos with salsa made in house for those a little peckish and delicious BBQ lamb sandwich to make your mouth water. Not for those on a budget the cheap $ 5 dinner specials that change daily. All of this is of course matched with a fully loaded bar with a great selection of local and imported beers(cheap pitches on house beer is great value), spirits and wine. Friendly bar staff and hostess’s have great knowledge of their craft and always have a great suggestion of a drink to accompany your meal. Check out the nightly drink specials, something for eveyone.
