Came here late Friday evening for a drink and managed to get in. The place was very busy and had a good atmosphere. Not sure if it was extra busy because of dine out, but it was really hard to get into any bars around the area as it was all booked up. So happy to get in here. Didn’t have anything to eat, we just had a round of drinks before heading back home. Staff were friendly and service was good.

Nice place for a Friday night dinner! A little too loud, music can def be turned down a couple notches but other than that, a great gastown joint

I and my wife went here after arriving late in Vancouver. After checking into our home that is across the street from this location we wondered over to this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The cheeseburger and mini corn dogs are really good. Solid drinks and kind service. they close around 12 midnight so that gives you a little flexibility.

I used to love the Rogue and it was my go-to place for cheap drinks and decent food. But over the past year the Rogue has disappointedly gone downhill. First of all, the price of wine has increased. While it’s a modest increase(the new prices are($ 5.49/6oz and $ 7.99/9oz), the prices are not quite as attractive anymore, considering you can get similar specials elsewhere. Second of all, the quality of the house wine has decreased. Of course I don’t expect an amazing high quality wine when I order a $ 5 glass of cheap house wine, but I do expect it to be drinkable. The wine used to be drinkable, but now it tastes like crap, and I can barely manage to choke it down. They must have changed suppliers or something, but it’s now absolutely terrible. Third of all, the quality of the food has also gone downhill. Every time I order something, it’s meh, at best, and the last couple of times that I ordered the Brussels sprouts, which used to be absolutely delicious, they were pretty gross. Gross wine, poor quality food, and increased prices. I have no reason to go to Rogue again, and instead I’ll just head over to the Charles Bar down the street where the wine is drinkable and cheaper, and their beer battered lemon pepper fries are to die for.

I came here for a board meeting and caught the tail end of happy hour. It’s not as good as it used to be, but it’s still a safe option. The food isn’t blow-your-mind spectacular but I do feel their chicken tenders are now better than they used to be. The batter is different and it has a nice amount of spice in it, which is very pleasant. Dry ribs are still the same. If you order 3 of the sides($ 4.99) each, you can get all 3 for $ 13.99, so you save a dollar. The drink specials are okay — not a big variety with their beer but overall still pretty cheap. Not my go-to for happy hour anymore, but it still does the job. Same goes for all their other locations.

Went there for Lunch. The place is nice and pretty quiet, despite the fact that it is busy. I had a steack with vegetables and cheddar potatoes. The meat was good and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were almost raw, and the waitress didn’t bother asking how was the food. I will probably go again a second time to make my mind about that place, but was disappointed by the food and the service. Wine was correct. Couldn’t eat my vegetables.

Wet bar. well they got that part right. We were walked to our table, only to notice the seats looked like someone had dropped multiple cigarettes on them… you know when plastic retreats due to being burned? That or maybe people’s cell phones are too hot from use. Either way, it was pretty ghetto looking. Then I grabbed the menu that, within a few seconds, had stuck to the table. gross. Next was moving the salt and pepper shakers so i could have a little room only to think«uh are these cemented to the people so people won’t steal them?» which of course makes NO sense whatsoever but man, what are people spilling on this table and why hasn’t anyone cleaned it properly?! I opted for a beer, cause that seemed safe but nothing wanted me to hang out here. Only reason we ventured in was cause Steamworks was full and we were the dregs of a xmas work lunch who wanted one more beer. Needless to say I will suggest any other place in the future. p. s. service was decent but… meh

*Edit: re-uploading this review, wrote it on the wrong ROGUE location. It was meant for Gastown location. ROGUE Gastown did not respond to an email complaint that my cousin and I made. However, our email tracker showed that ROGUE opened the email twice on December 6th and twice on December 7th.(see photo attached). So they obviously received it but chose to ignore it. I actually wrote the e-mail since my cousin said I’m better with words, and my cousin sent it to them. Here’s what happened: 1) We wanted to reserve a party of ten for a Christmas dinner at ROGUE. The manager told me and my cousin over the speaker phone 1 or 2 weeks ago that this reservation could not be done as they were fully booked. This was fine and we accepted it. We know ROGUE is a popular place. 2) ROGUE staff kept calling and leaving us voicemails to let us know the reservation was not accepted. That’s fine too, we just ignored those voicemails thinking they were calling just to inform us, because none of the voicemails told us we needed to call back. 3) BUT, on Sunday, December 6th at 5:30pm, my cousin received a catty-toned voicemail and played it back to our family. It was from a ROGUE staff girl sounding irritated and saying«This is ROGUE calling for the 4th time now!!!» with a strong pitch on the word ‘4th time now’ and scolding us to call back to confirm that we received the voicemail as in her own words, did not hear us confirm back yet. Uhh, yes we did, we had a personal call from the manager that we weren’t able to get a reservation. My cousin played it back to my family and everyone laughed at how silly this little diva-girl sounded as if she was angry about calling for the fourth time. 4) I told my family and cousin that I’ll call back immediately pretending to be my cousin, because I’m good at lecturing at people and putting them back into their place. A girl named Mercedes picked up. I sternly told her about the phone call, and that I thought the manager had already crossed off our names by now since the manager personally called us to tell us we couldn’t have the reservation. So why did we receive a voicemail with such an angry irritable tone? Mercedes said she wasn’t sure who the girl caller was, but her voice sounded an awful lot like the girl’s voicemail! Also, the voicemail was left at 5:30pm, I called back at 5:33pm and she picked up, so chances are it was her on the phone. It was laughable how she pretended it wasn’t her, because her voice had guilt written all over it as she kept saying«Well, who was it then? Do you know who it was? It wasn’t me.» Lol, please. My family was listening in on the speaker phone and they said it definitely was her, because she had the same high-pitched voice and same accent tones as the voicemail caller. Busted. My advice to Rogue: Now, even if there was miscommunication between the manager and the staff forgetting to cross our names off for callbacks, the tone from that girl in the voicemail was super condescending and unwarranted. We are all paying customers, not kindergarten students for you to send staff to scold at. ROGUE, please let your staff know that some customers are members of Unilocal, Google, or Zomato reviewers, and some of your client base can be bloggers, writers or newsletter editors. It’s not a good idea to upset those who can blog or write about bad experiences. Customers can also look up your corporate Human Resource or Head Office contacts on LinkedIn, and see who staff are at ROGUE and contact them for complaints(eg Dani Hrdlitschka showed up as HR Manager for Rogue and Steamworks). Google also released a 3rd party software called Rapportive, that allows people to sniff out head office contacts worldwide so HR, director, and even CEO contacts are easily accessible to those who take the time to search. Please educate that staff member that it’s not professional to lash out her stress or anger onto innocent customers. After all, customers are the heart and profit for your restaurant business, and social media is king! This is how it should have been done: Option 1) After the manager had spoken with us about being unable to let us reserve, cross our name off the waiting list! — DONE. Problem solved. Option 2) If the manager forgot to cross our name off the waiting list, which happened in this case, then have staff call us just once or twice on voicemail to inform us and leave it be. No need to leave voicemails 4 times over the week, and have the 4th caller get all angry on the voicemail about it! — DONE. Problem solved. Keep it simple and professional, guys. And give that angry girl some chocolate. Or another job. To ROGUE: If you see this review, don’t call us. We put your phone numbers on Call Block because we don’t want to get phone calls from you guys anymore. Feel free to email back though, since I can see you opening our emails. If I receive another rude reply, I will record or screenshot it and post it online.

This place is unreal! Not only is the décor ultra modern and classy, but the service is absolutely top notch. Happy hour prices are next level, and the fare and bevys never disappoint. Rogue has become our new regular spot and is definitely a great place worth checking out. Sushi bombs are off the chain, a must try!

Great place to go for happy hour. Cheap drinks, the only thing is, some of the food isn’t worth the price.

We went on a Sunday night around 9? It was good! We sat at the bar and had drinks and their happy hour pesto pizza and it was delicious. Sangria fishbowl was on happy hour for $ 14ish and that was good and hugeeee. Their happy hour Bellini is pre-mixed, frozen, and too sugary for $ 4. U can get Dixie cup shots 4 for $ 14 of the same shot and those were pretty good — We got a margarita kind. Pizza was good and a good shareable size

Right so where to start… I was craving corn dogs of all things and Unilocaled it out. Rogue has little mini ones so off we go. The actual restaurant is way cool, urban fixtures, high ceilings, and 2 floors! But the service is truly atrocious. First the seating selected was no good, when we asked to be moved the hostess had attitude. Once seated in the dining room I asked our server for a Blueberry tea. She said that they didn’t have it and she didnt know what it was. So I explained how to make one and she placed the order. It was happy hour so we got the 3 appy sampler, dry ribs, chicken tenders and the corn dogs. My date’s beer was flat, so I suggested the flight instead, and the hostess took away our menus so we couldnt choose another drink. I got up and stole a menu from another table; bc we waited and the server didnt return. So in other words, the service was ineffecient. The beer was flat and the corn dog stick said«Pogo». So I could have bought these same friggin things at Safeway. Fyi the corn dogs are usually $ 8.99 and you get 3. Also the couple seated in front of me decided it was a good time for a foot massage so the lady takes her shoes off and her guy begins massaging her feet… in a public restaurant?! And no one working there asked them to put their shoes on. Real classy. Oh and the guy didn’t wash his hands before he ate either! I won’t be going back. This restaurant is sitting on prime real estate, and unfortunately isn’t doing it justice.

I was a bit disappointed that my waiter kept recommending the most expensive option between my choice making in the wine and food, without explaining why he recommended it, other than that’s why he «liked it the most». My fish and chips were only satisfactory. I work at The Fish Shack on Granville Street and I have the fish and chips almost everyday(sometimes lingcod, most times halibut, purely depending on the kitchen.) When the waiter recommended the fish and chips over the calamari because they were«very delicious» I went with that decision. Unfortunately, the coleslaw alongside tasted like it was wrapped in plastic, the fries had absolutely no seasoning and tasted mediocre, and the fish was the worst disappointment. I had been here before a couple years ago with my experience being only average, but thought I’d give the place another chance. Even still all I can say about Rogue is that it’s «okay», but I can recommend a LOT of other places to dine in Vancouver.

Awesome spot conveniently located inside Waterfront Station. Came here on a Tuesday before heading off to Rogers Arena to see The Canucks get hammered by The Sharks! The restaurant was busy but there were still plenty of tables available inside and out. We decided to go outside as it was a beautiful day. Since heading to a game immediately after we wanted something fast and easy to eat. I got the Ahi Tuna Sandwich with a bowl of Seafood Chowder and it was AH-MAZING! My partner got a grilled chicken sandwich which included bacon and pineapple w/yam fries and she loved hers too! Customer service was good at times felt my waitress was MIA but the environment and everything else made up for that. We will definitely be back!

Centrally located inside Waterfront station and convenient to all skytrains, the seabus and west coast express, I’m surprised I hadn’t visited Rogue before. It’s part of a chain, which isn’t usually my scene, but under the right circumstances I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I met a friend for an after work drink and found the place abandoned inside upon arrival. There were a handful of customers scattered and a few not-too-interested employees. It took a few minutes to be greeted at the entrance and seated on the patio, which happened to be a lot busier. There was a mixed crowd of diners and drinkers in terms of age and purpose — everyone from college-aged groups to businessmen drinking alone. I like the décor inside — it’s nice and airy with really high ceilings. The patio is comparatively small but is still spacious enough to accommodate a number of tables. It seems like a cool place to hang out. Once we were seated, the waitress was right over to take our order. We each ordered a 10 ounce beer for $ 3 apiece. It was a nice flavour and size, and I would order it again. Our waitress was not pushy at all and understood we were just there for a quick drink. Having read the other reviews, and knowing I’d be having dinner sooner than later I passed on the appetizers on the happy hour menu. Seats were comfortable enough although the table was on the smaller side. Barely large enough for me to put my backpack underneath. I would happily return to try more of their happy hour drink specials and perhaps an appy or two if the right opportunity presents itself.

I don’t usually order steak in a restaurant known for pub food. I was hungry after hitting the Aritzia warehouse sale at the Vancouver Convention Centre so I ordered the sirloin steak with gorgonzola sauce. To my surprise the steak was perfectly cooked! Char grilled and pink in the middle. I like my steak medium, tender and juicy. I was a happy carnivorous that day. The sushi bombs are my all time favourite and of course the Hedgehog pie for dessert

Even more disappointing is taking the time to write the manager and not receiving a reply 3 weeks later. You don’t need my business to survive, true. But this, in no way, entitles you to disrespect your regular-backbone customers by ignoring their legitimate, constructive complaints, and not provide accountability or upstanding service. Never returning to any location of Rogue Wetbar.

Come here early before 6 and there are appies special. get 3 appies for $ 13. Service was great here. Ordered the Ahi Tuna Burger. I found the burger a bit too spicy. The Ahi Tuna is cooked right. Just seared perfectly. On the side, I had the tomato soup and it had a kick to it. Not bad. It was made fresh. The décor is very clean and nice. The service was good but the server did take a while to come take our order. Not sure if she forgot about us.

I love the décor here — the building is stunning, and they’ve made a really trendy, cool space inside. It’s pretty classy looking, but I always feel relaxed here — there’s no attitude at all. Their happy hour deal is quite amazing — $ 3 highballs, 5oz «don’t care» wine, or ½ pint of beer. I came here with Mary W. as a change from our usual happy hour spot and although the atmosphere was festive, we unfortunately did not love the wine — I guess we do care! The regular beer selection is great, although slightly more expensive than other places. I do find the food a little pricey, though. For lunch you can expect to pay ~$ 15, and although the food is tasty that’s a little high on my lunch budget! They have a couple of lunch deals which end up being a LOT of food, so do make sure you’re hungry if you get them! I’ve had the fish tacos with soup and kale salad before and they do not skimp on the taco size — they’re stuffed full and covered with a great fresh chopped salsa. I really like the tomato soup with cornbread croutons — it’s a great standalone option if you want something a little lighter, and the cornbread adds a nice sweetness to the soup. I’ve been here a number of times for a number of different reasons — from business meetings, to catching up with friends, to a working lunch on my own, and it’s a great spot to do all of those things.
