Um, YUM! I am typically vegetarian the night before a race, so when I ended up at Rogue before the Rock n Roll Vancouver Half, that was what I was looking for on the menu. I opted for the veggie burger which was amazing. It’s not vegan – stuffed with cheese – but it is delicious, has great texture and did I mention, it’s STUFFED with cheese! It also came with fries, but what I really remember was that fantastic veggie burger! The service was fine… we were in this bar area and had a large group, so that may have been why. I would definitely go back for the burger. Yes, it really was that good!

Service was ok but the food was horrible. Ordered a salmon which was way too overcooked. Not sure how any competent chef could let that kind of food leave the kitchen. Will not be returning to this place again, considering their prices are the same as a place like cactus club or joeys.

Fantastic lobster mac and cheese! It’s the best I’ve ever had. We tried the sushi bombs and pot stickers to start off with. The sushi bomb were fun and really good! Nice atmosphere!

This is a very pretty restaurant with good food. The décor is modern and comfortable, and huge windows that stretch to high ceilings let in excellent natural light. The good-sized menu has a wide range of options. At least for lunch, there are also a few wonderful combos available. Rogue has a great beer and wine selection, and the menu in some cases includes suggested pairings for the entrees. The staff is friendly and efficient.

This was my first meal after finishing the Lululemon Seawheeze half marathon. A cold pint never tasted so good, Rogue had a nice selection of local brews. I got a fried chicken sandwich with the poutine fries and my husband got another chicken sandwich with the truffle fries. Our meals came out quickly and nice and hot. Everything was delicious. We came around noon/1PM and were about the only people in the place so we had attentive service. It was starting to fill up as we left.

We came here for a birthday party of 50 – 70 ppl on a sat night with the top section booked. We got the set menu and I chose the 8oz cab sirloin steak that comes with tomato bisque, ice-cream sundae and a coffee or tea for 37 $(tax and tip incl). By the time I got to my steak it was a bit cold but I have to put in consideration that they were trying to serve 53 ppl all at once. Taste and quality of the steak was quite average. Ambiance was very nice. Location wise… I think it’ll be better if u skytrain there because its right inside waterfront station and parking there will be quite costly. A few of them got their cars towed and got ticketed at the Impark lot so make sure you don’t go over time! Service wasn’t the greatest; food came out very late for some of the guests, I kept on asking for my sundae and it never came and the manager was a bit rude to deal with other issues regarding the bill as well.

This is my most frequented happy hour destination downtown. Happy hour runs from 3 – 6 everyday of the week, and the drink specials are the cheapest around. Most places have $ 5 wines, but at Rogue, the $ 5 wine is 9oz not 6oz like other establishments, therefore you do your math and 3 drinks for $ 15 gets you a whole bottle of wine! I don’t think you can get a bottle’s worth of wine for that cheap in downtown. Granted the wine is their house red or white, but honestly, it’s not half bad so I don’t mind it at all. They also have food items for $ 5 and you can combo up the items for $ 14. I had originally thought you had to order 3 different items but I’ve only recently learned you can choose any of the 3 and you can double up on items — therefore I’ve been ordering chicken tenders and 2 dry ribs. Their dry ribs are honestly pretty darn good and I always order a few. They go very well with drinks. It’s a pretty big venue with a decent sized patio as well. All in all, nothing to complain about. Is it my favourite? No. Is it the best food/drinks? No. BUT it is one of the best deals and everything is at least average if not a little better. Always a safe bet and happy hours are always packed with people working around the downtown area. Must try!

Surprisingly good! Prime location(across from the convention center), outdoor patio with a nice view — expected high prices and unexceptional food. Happily, I was very wrong! Had lunch here. Burger, fries, beer — all very good, at reasonable prices.(Suspect they did the twice fried fries — very good!) If only I could make mistakes like this more often. :)

Service was great. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. The bathroom was interesting, not in a creepy or weird way… but a modern way.

I really liked the drink i had(a frozen bellini) it was so good. Perfect blend of ice, champagne, peach schnapps, and flavouring(?). It tasted exactly like a sour peach(comes with one at the top). I would go again for that. Cheap too, nice quiet, convenient and tasteful place to go. So why the bad review? Well, we ordered french fries and it took forever to get them, Probably over 45 mins if i’m giving an approximate. Not only that, the server did not update on the status of our food and why it was taking awhile. it was like we were forgotten about until the girl brought it to us. They come in a bucket, but the fries were okay. Fresh made, but as you got to the end of the bucket(only filled ¼ of the bucket) the fries are tiny, and in small pieces. Paying 6.99 for tiny pieces. Not a good deal. I wouldn’t buy them again, because even cheap places that make sell delicious fries(like costco) the whole container is filled with full sized fries. Our waiter wasn’t very friendly or engaging, very little eye contact, and rarely came to check up on us.

I’ve been to this location a few times and it seems this is fairly consistent: Rogue is a good place to go if you are wanting a nice area to hang out that also has a decent drink menu. The lobster mac and cheese is very tasty. But that’s about it. Service is bad and the food is even worse. The servers are conceited and very slow. The food tastes very bland and of poor quality. I’ve had a few different burgers and none stood out. My tuna burger was very dry, fishy, and fell apart. My friend’s pasta dish had a small pool of oil at the bottom and was tasteless. The only redeeming dish on the menu is the lobster mac and cheese. It was a super slow night and we were the only table in the lounge, yet it was so difficult to get a hold of our server to refill our drinks. When he took my plate away and noticed my burger was only half eaten he only comments«yeah, its a strange taste, I never order that.»

I had my work party at this location the past weekend and we all could not be happier with our choice with Rogue! To be honest, we were stuck in a jam with a miscommunication over who was supposed to call for a reservation at our initial pick… and when we finally figured that out, they weren’t able to accomodate us. Thank you Rogue for taking our party of 16 only a few days notice for our holiday party! Thank you to the general manager, Brent, for emailing me back and calling to confirm my reservation and Britney the great service she provided over the phone while she took in my details! I’ve worked in customer service for years and I know great service looks like. I didn’t catch his name, but the server that was with us throughout the night was great to us too! He was very attentive and quick with our orders. We shared chicken wings and nachos between our table. Nachos were good! Nicely layered and freshly baked for the cheese to melt. I liked how there were spicy green jalapeño peppers which added a nice kick to the nachos. Not a great big size but good for what it was. I didn’t try any of the chicken wings as someone had ordered the super super spicy ones. I can eat spicy but not that much where the heat coats your entire tongue and takes awhile to subside. My partner and I shared the Hawaiian pizza as we were already filling up from the appys and drinks we had. Pizza was good — not great. I would try something else on the menu next time. I had a couple bites of my colleagues lobster mac n cheese and it was super tasty! Super rich and decadent set in a mini cast iron with breadcrumbs baked over. Would definitely recommend that from the couple bites I had! All in all, great experience from Rogue — namely from the service. Parking was kind of a downer though. We parked on the street which is $ 6/h. If we had known, I would have parked underground for flat evening rate of $ 9. Will know for next time :)

If you are looking for a fancy pub with decent food and average beer selection then you can’t go wrong here. I came here on a rather chilly Tuesday night and much to my surprise found this place full of people so assume the slow service could be contributed to that fact. The décor on the other hand is quite impressive, lots of glass and warm colors and interesting shapes. The bathrooms are individually sized but rather small as I didn’t have much space for my large hobo bag. My server was friendly and greeted me to my table which was just a short walk away from the bar which is the center piece of the pub. I quite liked the ambiance of the place as it was friendly and warm. I started off with a glass of their house red which was good and proceeded to the highlight of my meal which was Tuna Tataki. The fish was just rightly seared and the accompanied green beans were a nice complement to an already amazing tasting fish. As for my main, I went with the beer battered fish and chips which was rather disappointing. It just tasted bland and made me regret my decision. Anyways if you are in this area searching for pub food, there are better places with better food and beer selection within a stone throw-away!

Came here Friday night. Not too busy. Most of the clientele have been there since happy hour. There’s a nice selection of beers on tap which comes in different serving sizes making it easy for a sampler. We waited a bit for our server to get to us but made sure we had our drinks and food placed in one shot. She did check in on us every so often. We ordered salt pepper chicken wings, nachos, fries. I really liked how the nachos weren’t soggy. Wings and fries were so so. If you’re with a large group at 10pm Friday night and want to go somewhere to chat, this place is perfect.

Disappointing order of nachos. Cold, hardened cheese, little to no toppings. For $ 16, we should have complained but were too hungry to do so and wanted a nice, serene evening. Blah, this doesn’t inspire me to return.

Wooo! The new Rogue is beautiful and classy as heck in this location. I came here after work with a bunch of friends for an informal dinner, and the servers were nice enough to get us seated on the patio at the last minute. They were also really accomodating when I party size continued to grow for a bit, and shuffled chairs and tables around for us. The food here is good — the quick pick combo worked out really well for me since I hadn’t been in a while. I had the fish tacos and fries, and asked to swap my fries for the truffle oil and parmesan one. There’s a cost of about $ 2 there, which I thought was a bit high but I was really craving it so I said yes. They ended up bringing me regular fries so they quickly made the right one for me and let me keep the plain ones to share at the table free of charge. They never rushed us out after we were done eating, and came by often to check on us for water regardless. I loved the service here. If you’re looking for spectacular patio views, this place doesn’t have it. But it’s got great service, and good food, and fancy bathrooms(see the note below). I’d come back here for all those three. Bonus: the sink /hand dryer in the bathroom is amazing. Make an excuse, any excuse, to go check out their bathrooms.

Hands down the best fish tacos I have ever had. Came here since I’m in the are for a conference, came from the states. I’ve had a lot of fish tacos and I told my wife I would fly her up to Vancouver just go try these!!! Amazing fresh fish, light and flakey, the pineapple salsa is just right and the slaw is incredible w a nice crunch. I opted to be paleo and did the lettuce«tacos» and got the yam fries so amazing, I may try to come back before I go back state side. Get these tacos, period! Server Sandra was on point for recommending these and the beer!
