The pizza is not good here. Even my young kids couldn’t eat it. I hope this location pulls up their sock in the future. We won’t be going back.

Good cheap snack to go. I don’t recommend it if you could spend more buck for food. But for less than 5 $ is good.

I love Flying Wedge pizza. Great quality toppings, inventive menu pizzas, a crust that’s genuinely better quality and healthier than your average pizza base, and a good selection of sauces. BUT., the pricing is way too high for by-the-slice pizza. I used to live next to this location and would always wait until their 9pm happy hour before grabbing a couple of slices(reaches for the violin). But when two slices of pizza could set you back $ 8/$ 9 it’s tough to justify. I love to support local, which Flying Wedge is(the Vancouver story is on the walls — nice touch), but ultimately, it’s a slice is pizza.

As far as toppings go, FW offers a large variety with tasty combinations I probably wouldn’t have thought to invent myself. Everything tastes fresh and the cheese blends are pretty delicious. The prices are a bit too high, but I guess that can be justified by all of the«specialty» toppings. The bad news(for me?) is that there aren’t really any choices as far as crusts go. The crust is thicker than I’d like and has a slightly overly doughy texture reminiscent of Panago, which I don’t enjoy. Reheating it in the oven the next day makes it(a traditional pepperoni this time) taste like frozen grocery store pizza. Not really the kind of leftovers I was hoping for after spending over $ 25 on one pizza. If you want topping options you won’t get anywhere else, this is your place. But if you’re like me and you enjoy having thinner crusts as an option, try another spot. I would probably eat here again if my favorite place is closed, but I’d definitely aim to spend a lot less.

one of my fav FW locations, by the beach, can’t go wrong for takeout on the beach. Fast, friendly staff. Clean counters too.

I don’t think I’ve eaten Flying Wedge since they rejected my job application back in high school, but that was about a decade ago, so I figured I’m over it now. This Flying Wedge also happened to be conveniently located along my way to meeting up with some friends. I was running late, I’d barely eaten anything all day, and it was getting close to 10pm, so I decided it best to get a quick slice before the drinking began. I pointed at the one that looked like it had spinach all over it, and the girl behind the counter responded: «spinach?» I nodded in confirmation. However, I was surprised to find upon my first bite that what had appeared as spinach was in fact spinach linguini(or maybe it was spinach fettucini). Never even heard of that before, but it tasted pretty good. $ 3.99 for a slice that was almost a quarter of the whole pizza.

Tasty but expensive. Not worth the price in my opinion but still quite good. 3.5 but if I had to choose, then 3.

Vancouver doesn’t really do pizza well as a rule, but one of the better places is Flying Wedge. At this location you can order whole pizzas, or individual slices. It’s more expensive than a 99-cent joint, but much better quality. The odd crust on the pizza is very thick, and soft. It’s like no other crust I’ve encountered, but it holds up well to the piles of toppings which come in inventive combinations, like Szechwan Chicken. If you’re ordering for several people, it’s worth finding out if there’s a combo deal of some kind or you could easily end up spending $ 35 or more on two pizzas. I would give Flying Wedge 5 stars but they took away my favourite pizza of all time. This is the part of the review where I plead for the return of Chipotle Chicken, which was the most amazing pizza I have ever tasted. Come on Flying Wedge! Bring ‘er back!
