I love this place so much… but I have a sneaking suspicion that it is closed! I overheard a few women talking in the Cookshop about someone just up and leaving and not leaving a return address. «This just wasn’t the right location for her» — they were saying. I wandered around the food court, because they had definitely been talking about food and then I saw Everybody Loves Veggies had the security door pulled across, lights off and nobody was home! This makes me sad. I hope I am wrong, but I don’t think I am!

I can’t believe there’s an all vegan place at a food court. And boy am I so happy there is. Great selection, and not too hefty on price, this little hidden booth is a gem. It may not have been the best vegan food I’ve ever had, but I really enjoyed it. I ordered the cauliflower mash casserole, which tasted like great mash potatoes. The temperature varied throughout, but as it was cool and dark outside, this really hit that comfort spot. I also got the quinoa casserole, which was filled with lentils, and topped with a baked parsley layer. I was fond of the parsley, was the rest was warm and creamy. Their tofu salad was also good, and was packed with flavour. The tofu was a little hard and dry, but it didn’t take too much away from the dish. My favorite part was the cookies. They had a double chocolate and an apricot as their 2 choices. They clearly label the ingredients and it states UNREFINED sugar. This makes me so happy, because it means that none of their dishes contain refined non-vegan sugar. The cookies tasted more like muffin tops, as they were vegan fluffy, but I loved them. Great service, great selection of soups, salads, and desserts. The food is a tad bland, but for a food court option, I’m grateful for it’s existence.

The quality of the food is surprisingly high given the size of the«booth» in the mall. You would expect to pay a lot more for the same food at a sit-down vegetarian restaurant. I have never had the same thing twice and everything they serve is excellent. Not only is the food vegetarian, but it tends to be low fat as well. You could eat every meal at this place an never gain weight. The restaurant is in a mall, but this is defintely NOT«mall food».

Every time I am in the neighbourhood, this is my go to place. The food is excellent. It is fresh and health y. I often have things that I like so much I try to replicate them at home. The couple who own it are there most of the time. They are passionate about their business and it shows. They are sweet, hard working people who appreciate their customers and go the extra mile to make them happy. I wish we had something like this is the West end. If you are looking for good healthy well made food, give this place a try.

I’m glad this place exists, because sometimes you’re in the neighbourhood and need something to eat. Unfortunately, none of the food is really THAT exciting… but I won’t fault them. It’s healthy and it’s not expensive. I always enjoy their sandwiches but I think it’s because they use a healthy slather of Vegenaise, which could make dried wood taste good. Still, I will probably get food here every time I am at City Square — luckily for me, there’s every variety of medical testing facility right upstairs, so I can eat Everybody Loves Veggies anytime I need blood taken! Creepy?

Pure, simple vegan takeaway food that makes me feel like a good person after I eat it! Most of the food is gluten free, and so fresh and healthy that even after a particularly decadent weekend I can still feel like a virtuous yogi on Mondays. I am obsessed with the cauliflower bake, which tastes creamy and cheesy and rich despite its vegan-ness, and the raw beet salad dressed with apple cider vinegar literally feels like it is repairing my poor, damaged cells. This stalwart of the City Square Food Court is worth a visit, even for meat eaters.

This is the sandwich you wanted to have when you were brown baggin’ it in highschool but your Mom was too lazy to make you a real sandwich so she would just slip a few bucks in your lunch bag instead. I had the roasted eggplant and pepper sammy with vegan mayo, which was awesome, and for just over $ 4 it was a steal. My sammy even came wrapped in saran wrap so I could take it to go. They have a small selection of cookies, sammys, soups and a few salads. Everything sounds delicious and I can hardly wait to taste them all to find out that they are.

A true vegan haven in Vancouver. we were lucky to find it when we did on our first trip there a few years ago. When we came back this year for a quick trip up to the Winter Games, we were pleased to find that it was still around, and still as delicious as ever. Not to be missed if you’re in the area. The shepherd’s pie I had was spot on.

Filling and delicious! Since I haven’t exercised in the last three days I decided to get rid of some of my guilt by having a healthier lunch. I ordered the cauliflower bake and the curried vegetables which came on a plate with brown rice. The cauliflower tasted more like curry than the curried vegetables did. The vegetables carried more of the tomato flavour it was stewed in. Everything was less than $ 7.00 people! Who says healthy has to be expensive? It was delicious and filling. I like that they keep a big bottle of Franks by the cash so you can smother your vegetable goodness in hot sauce! I want to go back to try their energy balls. They looked good!

Everybody Loves Veggies is hiding in City Square and it’s your job to find it, veggie lover. As Jeremy H. points out in his review, it’s under the escaltors and right next to Subway. If you love veggies, it’s definitely worth the very brief hunt. Service is good and there’s a nice selection of hot items. I had the cauliflower bake and it was delicious. I wish this place was in my food court! I’d eat at Everybody Loves Veggies all the time if it was more accessible to my daily life.

I fricking love this place. As in, as good as any vego food I’ve had, anywhere. First glance does not distinguish ELV from the surrounding selection of food-court fare. It’s in a booth under the escalators, marked by a neon sign, and has a small selection of bain-marie style bulk meal with an accompanying window of salads and sweets. The food is not pretty. It is not complicated. However, it is consistently delicious, and extremely cheap. One serving of hot food comes with rice for $ 3.75. Two millet balls(they don’t look any better than they sound — and yet, delicious and textured) comes with a ‘sauce’ of one of the hot selections for $ 3.50. Simple stuff done extremely well = lunch like three times a week. Woot.
