A menu full off vegan comfort food is a dream come true! Loved the sweet and sour chicken. We also had an amazing pumpkin and taro stew. The service was so attentive. They even called a cab for us after dinner.

I have been a veggie for a solid 8 years, and this place blew my mind. I don’t know why other places don’t use’meat’ like this. The chicken drumsticks had me question all my life choices. So good! Even my SO who hates soy products and fake meats loved it.

I’m not a big fan of this place, and I’ve given it a fair few chances. The food is rather bland and the portions are quite small — definitely sub-par compared to the other veggie Chinese places in Vancouver. They offer dim sum at lunch, which is a pretty good deal, but I much prefer the dim sum at Po Kong, which I’d recommend any day over this place. Lots of fake meat-based dishes, but many other all-vegetable dishes; the menu selection is good overall, I just haven’t been very impressed any time I’ve been here. Not really recommended.

Food is not as good as it used to be. In general, the place could be cleaner too.

Some very convincing vegetarian meat dishes include chicken drumsticks and sweet and sour pork. 3G does an all-vegan menu while retaining the characteristic flavour of Chinese cuisine. Service was sporadic and the interior looked unfinished, but I’d go back for the delectable food.

I popped in for a craving for Singapore noodles. I ended up ordering the noodles plus dim sum and it was totally awesome! Everything was made fresh, arrived piping hot and tasted amazing! It’s reasonably priced and portion sizes are just right! I can’t wait to go back!

We enjoyed the chili tofu with sesame sauce as well as the sweet and sour chikn, but the dumplings were unfortunately weak.

The food was good, but it lacked salt. Really. Salt. I had the fried tofu pouches and tempura. The tempura was good, a little greasy. The tofu pouches and veggies, again, needed salt. The service was good, I think the owner was our server. However, when a young man came into work, he was repeatedly sniffling, touching his hair, and NOT washing his hands before touching plates. A couple of saleswomen came in and shook his hand. He then did NOT wash his hands before grabbing plates and silverware. I don’t know if I would go back because he grossed me out, but the food was good.

No atmosphere at all. No pictures on the wall and absolutely nothing on the table. No glasses, candles, napkins, salt etc. Just a plastic table cloth. No music playing and every time I walk past the window I never see more than two people in the restaurant. I thought I would finally try it and the tofu tasted a bit stale and the food was bland. For only two customers I wouldn’t say the service was the best. A big part of dining is the experience and the ambiance is very stale. They took a great idea and ruined it in my opinion. I won’t be returning

This place has really gone downhill. It used to be a reliable option for vegan Chinese food but the female owner nickels and dimes everything so the portions are reduced and the food is not made with care anymore. Teeny tiny portions, over or under seasoned cooking. You know those standard aluminum foil round Chinese restaurant takeout containers? This place uses the smaller size I’ve never seen any other restaurant use. Total rip-off.

I… freakin…love…this…restaurant!!! I’ve miss Chinese food a lot since becoming veg. And when I found this place, I was so happy. I can’t believe I never wrote a review earlier. My boyfriend, who’s not veg but isn’t very big on meat loves it here, too.(He’s half Chinese, so he knows real Chinese food) I’m trying to expand my menu ordering horizons, but the spring rolls, sweet and sour pork, black pepper and rock sugar chicken, drum sticks, and fried rice with ham are our absolute favourites. Rarely can we bring ourselves to try anything else, because we always crave those 5 items. I’m not big on fake seafood, never really liked the real stuff either, so can’t say anything about that. They also have dim sum, which I’ve never had before but am now hooked. The couple that run it are super nice, and are often the only two there, so sometimes service can be a bit slow, but it’s worth it. Also, try their mango lemonade :)

Filling flavorful food. As others mentioned, drumsticks are very tasty. Portions are pretty big so keep that in mind. I am not a fan of sweet & sour dishes though since the taste is very strong. My only complaint is that once I came there at 9:20 pm and they were already closed, even though online it said they were open til 10. Strange!

Four stars for the wonton soup. I love it when I’m sick or it’s really cold out. I’m not sure how it compares to other veggie wonton soups, but it was my first so it will always be number 1. Most of the other dishes I’ve tried have been good too. As for the restaurant, it’s definitely lacking in atmosphere. To make up for it, the wait staff are always friendly and service is generally fast.

As you’ve probably gathered from the other reviews, the main thing this place has going for it is that it’s vegetarian. The people who work there seem nice, and its pretty low-key. I would have liked to get some more sauces to accompany my food. Otherwise it was fine, but I probably wouldn’t go back. I do love those little sesame balls though.

I could have made better dimsum by picking up a few bags of frozen appetizers. Nothing special here unfortunately.

First time at a vegetarian restaurant the the outcome was exceptional. Great vegetarian restaurant with friendly service. The food was very delicious and innovative. Presentation of the food was amazing as well. Never thought vegetarian food could be this tasty and pretty.

They really, really need new menus! Their menus, or at least the ones they gave us, were filthy! There was a thick residue of dirty hands on the cover. I very nearly decided that we should leave based on this, but the rest of the place appeared pretty clean. The bathroom was definitely cleaner than most. Service was friendly, and they were able to suggest options that would complement the other items we were ordering. Food was OK; the salt and pepper«chicken» drumsticks were tasty, but a bit too salty for our liking. Bad first impression with the menus, but OK finish.

Though I’ve only eaten once in here, I’m in the area a lot and haven’t ever seen more than 2 tables out of 10 filled with customers, in comparison to Po King or Panz Veggie. Nothing memorable for a meat lover so it’s kinda unfair Basic décor, nothing fancy. Metered parking in front.

Best part of 3G is the attentive service and the relaxed dim sum atmosphere compared to a «regular» Chinese restaurant where it’s super-busy and staff get pissy at you if you try to order more than once, because it confuses their billing. For this, I give them bonus points. Food is OK. If you are vegetarian, then it’s an easier place to go than pretty much any other Chinese restaurant. if you need to have fake meat, then it’s a convenient place to get it. But… If you are omnivorous, don’t go. The fake meats will probably distract and annoy you more than anything, and if you are already familiar with Chinese food, these pretend-meat veggie versions will taste like a watered-down mediocre version. Omnivores dragged there by herbivorous friends should stick to straight vegetarian choices — or simply not look too closely at the«meat».
