Very bummed to hear this place has closed. The area needed a place just like Co-Zi. Apparently the new owners are opening a sushi restaurant. There’s already so much sushi in Vancouver. Co-Zi come back. You will be missed.

The food flavours are fresh and incredibly good. The egg bennies are especially good. I highly recommend the daily soup as well. I only discovered Co-Zi a few weeks ago and am already a regular.

Loved it! Had the black forest ham tomato benny. So good. The roasted potatoes were so yummy, and great coffee. Service rocked too! Will be back!

Best Americano Ive had in the neighborhood, hands down. Had the Paprika Scrambled Eggs and they were fantastic. Only sorry I haven’t popped in sooner!

Amazing roast veggie benny on a biscuit, and a big salad with goat cheese, almonds and cranberries. A perfect breakfast!

Sweet, friendly waitress. Good coffee. And the best eggs Benny I have ever had. Ever! Hollandaise sauce to perfection. And that homemade biscuit goes above and beyond. Plus the setting lives up to the name of this café. We will definitely be back.

This is a hidden gem, maybe not(hidden) for long. Dad says the chef is Michelin starred and while I have an idea what that means I’ve yet to try a Michelin starred restaurant. What I do know is that the food and service at this venue is very good. The shop is small and so… cozy =) I love eggs benny(or benedict), order it pretty much all the time and have made them myself as well. The offering here was made pretty much to perfection including the accompanying side of fresh fruits. Having lived in Japan and eaten at fairly decent venues there I’m accustomed to spotting minor details. The eggs here were made with care I know, because the white were very soft, meaning it wasn’t rushed. The sauce had the right amount of creaminess without hints of other ingredients in the sauce(if you’ve made it before you’ll understand). Sauce was light enough in texture, unlike a «western» venue(overpowering ingredients). This leans towards French style I presume, encompassed by various fresh pies and fresh croissant at the counter. Anyway, the smoked salmon was«real» not cooked, aaand best of all the biscuit is made INHOUSE! Where in Vancouver can you get that??? Side dish of fruit pieces were well ripened cuts with good presentation-not overly fancy for a modest joint like this and not randomly dropped onto the plate. I can tell everything was selected with care, the only hiccup… I ate my grapes last, and to my benefit they were a tad on the«old-getting soft with minor wrinkles» so that surprised me a bit. But for what I could see was a three-staffed restaurant on a Sunday morning with moderate customer flow this is a pretty fine place to start the day. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes and perhaps a dinner one day. I credit my Dad for introducing this venue.

I ordered a mocha and it was served to perfection! One of the best that I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back. Also the workers were very friendly, which made the experience more wonderful.

A fine gem in the neighborhood. Food and service excellent. Only thing is they need more tables given the amount of customers.

I have been going to Cozi for a few years. The owner Connie offers the right mix of food, beverages and deserts for a primarily breakfast /lunch locals place. The Meat Loaf entrée would make this place a destination restaurant for most meat lovers. The evening weekend set dinners with live music are about to resume. They are informal and you get a warm community vibe being in attendance. The set dinners are a step up from their regular fare for a decent price of @$ 20 for three courses. Service has always been friendly for me at Cozi; well it helps that the workers know that Connie and I graduated in the same class from Sir Charles Tupper. That aside, prices are reasonable and the place is always clean. When it is sunny it is very bright and well ventilated. Conversations with your neighbours comes easy with the seating arrangement at CoZi. The staff are cheery and recommending this café is a slam dunk. Peace out.

I was surprised there weren’t more reviews of this cute little place so thought id add one! We went for brunch and had the frittata w chorizo and the eggs Benny with fruit. Everything was delicious! The fruit was fresh and tasted like fruit(not always the case with breakfast fruit sides). Prices are very reasonable and the service was excellent. No reason not to try this little neighborhood gem :)

Interesting, fresh and natural hand-made foods at a non-trendy price. Owner operated(Connie). Friendly service. I had a coffee outside and they brought me a glass of water unbidden later on. Warm day so much appreciated. No problem finding street parking either

It was cozy alright. Nicely decorated for a Fraser St establishment. The live entertainment with the guitarist/singer was a nice surprise. The welcome was warm, and the hostess/server politely offered to hang up our jackets, which was a nice touch… until I realized that the coats were all hung up just outside the washroom! The food was at best fine. Maybe it’s because we had the roast beef, which can’t be that exciting compared to their other 3-course offerings on other weekends, incl. lamb roast, seafood paella, and BBQ ribs. Our roast beef came thinly sliced deli style instead of the usual thicker cuts. It was all rolled up into a ball slightly bigger than a baseball. Coupled with good old mash potato, boiled peas, and sliced carrots. So with that, you can’t get too creative, and so it turned out to be a disappointment for us, since we read all the high rating reviews before going, and therefore had very high hopes. It wasn’t a bad meal in any sense(although at $ 25 pp, we felt it was high for roast beef. Lamb maybe). Just wasn’t very exciting. Service was fine but nothing extraordinary.

House salad with dried cranberries, almonds, feta cheese 4⁄5 — better than the cream of mushroom. Lightly dressed with the right amount of poppy seed dressing. Cream of Mushroom 3⁄5 — not bad but it tasted from the can Seafood Trio(ling cod, garlic prawns, crab leg, green beans, nutmeg spaghetti squash) 2.5÷5 — The pan fried battered lingcod was the best. Crispy on the outside and moist inside. There were only 2 overcooked garlic prawns. Only 1 crab leg and it comes in various sizes. You are lucky if you can get the claw. The green beans were too oily. I think they have sweetened the butternut squash with sugar and over spiced with nutmeg. Lemon Pie 4⁄5 — I’m usually not a citrus dessert fan but this was good. Not too sweet or too tart. Coconut cream pie 3⁄5 — too sweet for me. The coconut flakes on top were not fresh. Pecan Pie 3.5÷5 — not as sweet as the coconut pie Service was okay but not the best. The live music was too loud given it was a small place.

3 things about co-zi: 1. killer weekend bennys with fruit. seriously ridiculous that fools are queuing up at jethro’s down the street(overrated) when you can get PERFECT eggs with the PERFECT amount of housemade hollandaise blocks away. 2. friday dinners… i feel like i’m robbing the place. lovely salad, scrumptious mains which change each week and homemade dessert for a ridiculously low price. 3. connie and her staff are amazing. attentive, super friendly. this is what a neighbourhood restaurant is all about! bonus thing: bread pudding made from leftover croissants? are you serious? my 85 year old dad’s favourite and he’s had a lot of f’ing bread pudding in his life.

I stumbled upon here on my walk waiting for the store I needed to open. I needed my Saturday morning decaf sugar free skim milk vanilla latte. The lady at the til was a young teenager, not a barista by trade, however, she made my latte better than some of the other places that I’ve been to lately. The prices are very fair for what you get. The space is small and seating is limited, therefore, it’s more of a short term hang out place.

The woman that works there is super friendly and great to chat with. I always find the sandwiches are amazingly fresh and done right-not sure who the chef is but he always takes the time to prepare food properly. I might be waiting 15 minutes for food on the go but it’s so worth it! Great for a friday night if you’re planning to go out with friends and wanting to experience fresh, new and«cozy» cuisine. They have a different menu every Friday night! :)

Great addition to the neighbourhood. Lots of comfortable seating, and good coffee. A wonderful place to sit with a good friend in the afternoon. Nice light coming in through the windows, and tasty treats. We haven’t tried the Sunday dinners yet, but we’ll definitely go back to try it out in the evenings. We need more spaces like this along Fraser.

This is what this of Fraser needs more of; a nice but not pretentious ambience place to get coffee & other fresh-baked muffins/croissants with sit-in but solid food too, like their roast beef & eggs benedict. they actually use wine in their hollaidaise sauce, versus the pre-packaged stuff. Much warmer place than a Starbucks, maybe a Bread Garden but much more cozier, and local too. Owners have quite the extensive restaurant background experience. Probably explains their wine/alcohol offerings too. So though it sounds like a café, you can have a nice night here too. Décor is pretty well Martha Stewart, look at their washroom ;) Easy free parking.

The owner is just so darn sweet and nice and my cappuccino was great. I’m glad I gave this place another try. They also hold Friday night dinners like Fondue and Rib nights. Call ahead to reserve. Impressive for a little café:)
