Great ambience –Feels like I’m in New York! Great big window to people watch. Italian Football in the background. Outside seating for a sunny day. Espresso is the best in town.

What can I say. its a coffee bar. GREAT coffee if you like it strong and smooth. It’s old and run down. A couple of dry pizzas doing lapse under a heat lamp and countless TV’s for you soccer nuts. I came with a friend for the coffee and would return again for a coffee… to go.

THEBEST tiramisu ever! I got a tip from a lady years ago that this place was famous for its tiramisu. Who would have thought? Just another Italian coffee/sports café on the Drive. But wow, was she right. This is definitely not my style of coffee shop, but I’ll be back for the dessert.

very typical café bar, I took a step back and stepped into 1978 growing up in Little Italy(Montréal), this café bar has not only fantastic espresso but where else can I pick up a slice of pizza just like my immigrant Italian mom used to make. Major difference 2011 vs 1978, flat screen TV’s and 33 years.

Screech! I’m downgrading this review by one star. I went into Abruzzo today, and was turned off by the lone piece of dried up pizza slowly revolving in the display case. Also, the age-old $ 2.50 Americano is now $ 3.50. I‘m not as happy entering here as I used to be.

I went to Abruzzo Cappuchino Bar for the first time about a week or so ago and was pleasantly surprised… I don’t drink coffee, but my boyfriend insisted on taking our guests their for a cup of java. I don’t drink coffee so I volunteered to grab the only table while they ordered. The atmosphere is pleasant — old Italian men chatting and occasionaly watching the soccer game. Their coffee was long gone by the time we sat not too far from them. The small coffee in actual coffee cups & saucers came to the table and everyone sipped away and commented on the taste… I couldn’t resist — I had to have a sip! The coffee was AMAZING!!! Really, I don’t drink coffee and this was so good. There isn’t much more I think I need to say — the coffee is amazing and it’s got that ‘Drive’ chill feelin’ that I love. Go get your coffee now!

Gelato, soccer, pizza, coffee – all very Italian. As is this spot. This popular little Italian café was rather packed on my Saturday afternoon visit. Most of the customers were chatting in Italian and a huge flatscreen sat against the rear wall. Ignored, I’d guess, because there was no soccer match on. We order a pair of lattés and found the service was a bit slow and neglectful. But maybe you have to be a regular. No worries though, as I spent the wait reading up on the visit of an Italian movie star to the café and the mob that ensued. When the lattés did arrive, they were served up piping hot. With not a seat in sight, we continued to stroll down the Drive. It was about five blocks before our coffee cooled enough to sip. I’m no expert on Italian coffee, but my latté was a beautiful blend of bitter and rich. Not too intense a caffeine jolt but a gentle, invigorating treat. And as the coffee was hot enough to fight the impending winter chill, I’ll call myself a new ammiratore of this coffee spot.
