Check your receipts! This place pads your bills with items you didn’t order and don’t receive! I went in there with w friend for brunch yesterday(Sunday) and ordered their classic breakfast and an orange juice. The owner seems talkative, and when I asked for the receipt, which he neglected to give me –you pay when you order, in advance of the meal– he then asked to confirm that I wanted a large juice. Actually I only wanted a small, but since he already rung it up, sure, whatever. The meal itself was average, albeit on the small side, and it did look like he had a lot of bagel sandwiches on the menu that looked like it could be worth a try. On the drive home, I looked at the receipt and saw that he had added a bagel to my order to pad the bill. I neither ordered nor received the bagel and I did notice some hesitation when I asked for the bill. Then I knew why. I considered going back to ask them to ‘correct’ the mistake, and then I realized from the circumstances that this wasn’t the first time he’s done this. Kinda of low underhanded way to make profits. Avoid if you can.

Okay people this place has Italian options but is owned and operated by a Chinese family. I found it a it bizarre but the folks have nailed it. A cute place with decent options and a good price. I ordered the turkey on a poppy seed bagel. You get to chose your cream cheese but since I wasn’t asked so by default I got plain. I wish they had asked, I would have preferred otherwise. Also, adding cheddar cheese would have been a better option. Regardless for the $ 7-$ 10 price point this place is worth checking out.

Dropped in based on positive Unilocal reviews, and so glad that I did! There were initial concerns, as the space is not large yet there is a seeming abundance of visual clutter that always makes me wary of what they’re trying to distract from. Staff is very friendly, very efficient, and they keep the place tidy as can be. The veggie sandwich was delicious, and the bagel veered dangerously close to a perfect Montréal bagel. More than anything, there is a happy vibe that seems lacking on the now heavily commercialized street. I’ll be back!

Awesome breakfast bagels, just what the doctor ordered after a hike up Lynn Canyon. A nice alternative to many of the vegan(albeit delicious) spots on commercial. Very friendly staff too!

Solid, simple eats at a good price. Also, genuine family restaurant service which seems harder to find every year. I nearly always get a bagel and cream cheese, sometimes with avocado or one of the sandwiches. One time I tried the fried rice special and thought it was pretty good, large portion for the price. Nothing is going to blow you away here, but consistency and value count for a lot.

Euro Bagel Café, their Canadian breakfast bagel cannot be beat; their prices are the most reasonable on Commercial Drive a lot of other restaurant could take lesson’s about doing business from the owner a friendly outgoing fellow by the name of Henry.

If I could I would give this place 5 more stars! They not only have the best bagel sandwiches in the city but the friendliest Family who owns it! Not once have I had a bad experience. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for a spot to eat in East Van. or the city! So glad I stumbled upon this place!

Glad we stopped here by chance. I drink my coffee black and this coffee is a winner for me. They have a large assortment of bagels and desserts as well. Customer service and welcoming crowd is a definite plus! Hidden gem, worth checking out.

Never coming here again! We were trying to find a decent coffee shop along Commerical Drive and we happened to come across Euro Café. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, it came to be $ 4.70. I asked the employee about their iced coffee and he said he can make me an iced coffee if I don’t want the latte so I agreed to that. He paused and looked at the cashier register because he had already rung in the transaction. In the end, he still gave me back my 30 cents change without making any adjustments to the transaction meaning the iced coffee costed the same as an iced vanilla latte. I brought it up to his attention, asking him if an iced coffee cost the same as an iced vanilla latte and he tried to tell me that it usually cost more at other places. The conversation ended when he said«whatever, I can make you the original order with the vanilla latte». Let me note that, I could have gone to Caffe Artigiano, 49th Parallel, JJ Bean, Bean Around The World, even Starbucks and get a better tasting vanilla latte for less than what I was charged here. Their latte seems to be watered down and I was NOTPLEASED with their overall service.

I came here by luck. It’s very easily missed. I had a heart smart bagel that had an egg white, mustard and tomato. I found it ironic that a heart smart bagel had mayo on it. The shop was extremely hot. I accidentally had a spicy bagel with Jalapeños and since it was baked in house, with real Jalapeños and oil, my lips become numb and painful. I was in so much pain that I had to stay behind and get«nursed» back to normal with milk. I felt like my lips were stung by 1000 bees. No fault of anyone’s but my own. Plus points for the people taken care of me and letting me «heal» with no pressure. This place is cash and or debit only. Prices are very fair.

Cozy café. Had an espresso and americano. Both alright and acceptable quality. It’s more of a breakfast joint that is reasonably priced. Run by a family from the looks of the staff.

Whoah, how had I never been here before?! I’ve walked up and down the Drive countless times, and somehow always passed this place by until the other day. I was immediately pleased with the cutesy interior and nice, simple selection of food. I ordered the Butternut squash soup with a side salad, and somehow found myself sweet talked into ordering a bagel as well. I can’t even eat bagels, but the man working(the owner I presume) was so charming and seemed so genuinely passionate about his craft that I just couldn’t say no. The food was excellent! The soup was totally to die for, and the dressing on the salad was very unique. I couldn’t eat the bagel, but my friend swears it was rockin’. If you’re looking for a bagel on the Drive, go here! They do all sorts of bagel-wiches, too. Even if you’re not looking for a bagel, go here! They have an assortment of other tasty morsels.

A fantastic little family-owned & run bagel shop that does a little bit of everything, but their bagel menu really fantastic! My regular is the ‘regular’, which is about 4 bucks and it’s egg, cheese, a bit of mayo and mustard on a fresh bagel of your choice. The perfect yummy breakfast on the go. Their normal breakfast plates are pretty rad as well, so definitely pop in and get yer omnom on.

The service in here is fantastic. They are so sweet and genuine, it feels like you are eating at a friends place. It could be because I am usually in here with a couple of regulars? This strikes me as a pretty typical«café». Lots of baked goods and bagel breakfast type sandwiches. Crepes. Juices. They recently changed their menu and they have a buttload of options to choose from. I have found them pretty accommodating when I try to put together a vegan meal from the menu aaand I like that. The food itself was pretty okay — lots of fresh veg! There are a couple of tables out front for some summertime people perving.

Meh Almost cold mocha. Almost cold tuna melt. I wouldn’t have thought it possible to not be able to produce a decent tuna melt. Minuscule-slice of cheese melted over a mound of(still) cold tuna. Bagel barely even warm.

I was firm on my two star review even before I saw the overwhelming majority of Unilocalers like this place. Is it because it is owned by small business? Because that alone should not excust the mould growing in the fruit basket. I’m surry, I just don’t get it. they have a big selection of baked goods, none of which look delicious, really. and the cheap breakfasts, which the table next to me ordered, looked no more than just some white tozt, sunny side up eggs and grease. The table beside me left pretty disgusted with said plate. I feel bad giving a local joint 2 stars but… there isn’t even any CHARM to this place… and right. the mould.

We come here every Sunday(well, most Sundays) because we grocery shop down the street. They know our names and that we order two americanos every time we come in. Their americanos are perfect and what I gauge all other americanos against. If I haven’t had an earlier breakfast(okay, so someday I will be wearing a muumuu), I get the regular breakfast. It comes with two eggs, bacon, homefries and toast. The yolks are runny and so I ration my toast, half for the eggs and the other half for the strawberry jam. The homefries are cooked wonderfully and taste even better with hot sauce. The bacon is more meat than fat(although I wouldn’t mind if there was more fat). Now if I already had a snack, there are wonderful breakfast bagels. I’ve tried the regular one with eggs and ham and the mexican one that has veggies and salsa on top of the eggs and ham. And you can choose what kind of bagel you want all of the goodness on. I choose the cheese ones. Also, if you’re lucky, they have day old bagels… six for $ 2. They also have a large assortment of baked goods. I haven’t seen them in a while, but their coconut butter tarts are amazing, mainly because they are raisin-free. I had their butter tart square, but it’s a little raisin heavy, so I have to spit them out… or shove them back in when my fiancé isn’t looking.
