Imperial Barber Shop

Imperial Barber Shop is an excellent traditional barber shop, specializing in haircuts for men. This is a high-​end shop and the prices reflect that. However, it is truly worth the price: excellent, fast service and very skilled barbers providing haircuts and shaves.
You get a cut and a traditional neck and hairline shave with a regular cut, complete with hot face towels and traditional shaving cream. I feel pampered every time I go. This place is an experience, not just a typical haircut.

I’m in Ottawa for some work and I was looking for a place to get a haircut for the summer. I came across this place online and the reviews looked pretty good here on Unilocal.It is interesting that a barber shop that claims to promote men’s haircare and grooming both in the present and in the style of what it was in the good ol’ days is run by almost all female employees. I kind of did expect to see old-​fashioned male barbers with mustaches or mafioso-​looking guys.
Anyways, I decided to stop by but I came too close to closing time as they weren’t taking any more customers. I made an appointment for today and was a little late and the woman there let me know that I had almost had my appointment cancelled but was nice about it and took me. This woman was nice and kept complimenting me about how nice my hair was. made me feel bad for cutting it! But the truth is, when it gets long, I can’t seem to do a darned thing with it! The cut turned out well though I would have liked it a little shorter but she had already started putting product in my hair. The place is expensive for a basic cut at a whopping 25 dollars to include taxes (and of course you leave a tip assuming your cut was to your liking). They give you an actual shave with a razor and cream to get rid of neck hair and a hot towel to clear your face and neck up with at the end of your cut. I’d come back.

Finally a barber who gets it. This is the place for hair-​challenged men, cut, hot towels, eye-​brow trim, etc, the whole 9-​yards. On top of that the décor is perfect, a real barber shop!
