One of the best borsch I’ve ever had! Plus they have a vegan option. Great customer service and very friendly staff.

Awesome little lunch spot! Had the borsch and it was delicious. Comes with a sizeable piece of freshly baked bread and bob’s your uncle! Will be back to try some of the other baked goods but I was too damn full!!! What a breath of fresh air for New West!

Wandered in here a few weeks ago after missing my bus by seconds. They have yummy cabbage rolls and my hubby loved their dill perogies! I fed three of us for $ 16!

Freshly baked bread, homemade perogies, prioshkis, soups and deserts. You can get stuff frozen to take home, or fresh to eat right then and there. Service is super friendly, they run weekly specials on bread, and everything they make kicks ass.

DH& I came here on Friday shortly after 12 pm with a coupon from the local paper for a Free Borsch(Ukranian soup made with beets) They have Meat Borsch(with tender chunks of pork) or Veg Borsch with sour cream on the side. It also comes with rye or sourdough bread. This normally costs $ 7.00 DH& I both had the Meat Borsch & he also had the sourdough bread. I wanted a Dill & Potato Piroshki but they were sold out already :( In fact, they were sold out of all savoury Piroshkis. I opted for a cinnamon roll which they heated up for me. The Borsch was really good. All their baked goods are priced including GST $ 3.50 each or 5 for $ 15.00 They also sell perogies.

I’m half Ukrainian, and wanted to add a cultural touch to our wedding. Soldolko made me the most beautiful Korovai(traditional Ukrainian wedding cake), and at a very reasonable price. Our wedding guests thought it was amazing, and my Ukrainian relatives at the wedding were so touched by the cake. Thank you so much to the whole Soldolko team, I was so happy to have you as part of our wedding! I’ve also stopped into the storefront and got some borscht and pastries. Let me preface this with the fact that my baba(grandmother) is a phenomenal cook, so my standards when it comes Ukrainian food are very high! I was so impressed with the Borscht — just like Baba makes! And the pastries are wonderful too. Stop in, this is a great bakery!

I came here to get some poppy seed rolls and a very decent price. I was turned onto sweet poppy seed rolls by a coworker and now I am addicted to them. She recommended this place. It is a bit out of my way and I can’t seem to make it during regular business hours, however, managed over the weekend. Worth the trip. The pastries didn’t make it back to my house on time, they were all gone during the bus ride. Awesome friendly customer service.

This place is delicious. I can honestly say I like all of their products, but honourable mentions for their poppyseed bun, raspberry bun, their velvety rye bread, and their borscht, which is served with a slice of warm bread and sour cream. Be sure to check out this latest great addition to the uptown New West neighbourhood!

We just got a rye loaf with apple and cherry piroshki. We planned on having them for breakfast tomorrow, but they’ll be gone before dinner tonight… it’s that fresh and that tasty! What a great addition to the neighbourhood; we needed a good bakery for fresh bread and pastries.

A year ago I ordered a special Kievskiy cake(very popular in Ukraine) from Solodko bakery, it tasted SO good! They know what they’re doing, I bet all the homemade pastries are very delicious as well! Try them out!
