It’s more of a deli than it is a pastry place. I came here once before meeting up with the guy I am dating whom used to live in the area. I came here ’cause I read last year that they do their own cuts. The sandwich meat that I had to go was good. They do need an interior upgrade, however, that is part of the charm of it. Price for portions was very reasonable. Friendly customer service.

your basic deli place, pretty brave to be a few stores away from timmys. tried their lemon meringue, didn’t like the lemon lumps, had better. plus there’s no wifi ;(

I was looking for a mom-and-pop type place, off the beaten path of New West 6th St., for a late Sunday lunch. Belmont Bistro and Bakery did not disappoint. Prices were very good, everything was tasty. Only on attendant was covering the front, and she was doing her best but several tables still hadn’t been bussed and it seemed she was a bit overworked. She never let down her smile though. The tuna melt panini took a while, but it was quite tasty. A slice of the apple blueberry pie was a nice dessert.

A decent breakfast place! Well priced food that was at a good quality/portion/price point. Interior was basic, late early late 80’s /90’s décor. The lady serving us was polite and friendly. Other customers were more Senior to us… Would I go back? yes!

Just read about the Belmont Bistro and Bakery in the local newspaper this week and had to try. The owner does all of the food preparation herself and specializes in pastries(cream puffs were fantastic!) and delicious comfort foods from her homeland of Tashkent, Uzbekistan — perogies, cabbage rolls and a killer borscht. The food was fantastic and I look forward to a return to try out more from the menu!
