Pizza Town

Not impressed! When returning to NS to visit family, having lived in Chicago suburbs for 15 years, we always love to have a donair! We ordered a junior and medium donair. Waited at least 15 minutes and then was told our order was accidentally given to someone else so they would make us another order. When we got home with our order just 5 mins away the food was cold. Just nasty — will not be back for donairs will look for another place next time.

This is a family pleasing take out meal.
The donair pizza and specialty subs are delicious for the grown up crowd. The kids are always quick to devour the pepperoni pizza and garlic fingers.
Delivery was even pretty good despite ordering on New Years Day. They were able to manage credit card order.
The only things negative to say on the takeout front is that, at the end of the day, it’s just pizza. Better than most, but not worth bragging about.

Pizzatown is a great pizza shop! They charge you the same price as other pizza shops but I haven’t seen anyone else beat the variety this place has to offer. The first time we ordered a simple meat lovers medium pizza. I loved the thin crust because I’m a fan of low carbohydrates. But what shocked me when I looked at the menu was that they also had gluten free pizza and calorie smart pizza! The next time we ordered I tried the gluten free pizza which I was worried would taste different. It did, but it was a good different.
With pizza competition being what it is in Halifax, I have talked in previous reviews with how important it is to stand apart from the rest. Pizzatown does it and makes it look easy! The gentleman that delivered the pizza was kind, courteous and efficient. The pizza had just the right amount of toppings and I didn’t feel like a pig after having three slices. Next time, I will venture to try their Spicy Americana.
The only downside to Pizzatown is that they aren’t located right downtown Halifax. So after a night of hanging out at the bars, you can’t just skip over to a Pizzatown. But at the same time this may be a good thing. Because they won’t be inundated by customer’s and are still able to deliver pizza’s in a short period of time.
I have been looking for my favorite pizza shop for a long time. And I honestly think I’ve found them. Pizzatown’s prices are pretty good (could be a bit cheaper), their selection is unmatched and their staff are very polite and helpful. If you haven’t tried their pizza, you haven’t had the best in the city so far.

Donair was good. They have moved away from the old original donair on a rotating spit because of food quality concerns. Instead they use a new style of pita press cooker. Just as good as the original method, but without the risk of food poisoning!
Music was too loud to talk when I was there, but they turned it down for me!
