Best place for military cuts. I drive from Halifax when I can because every cut is done right.

I’ve been going to Brian’s for as along as I can remember. Haircuts are one of those things that can be called a mundane life task, but given the right barber or hairdresser, it can turn into an enjoyable experience. Brian’s makes it an enjoyable experience. The place has grown in popularity over the years. When I started going back about 8 years ago, it was just Brian and one other hairdresser. He’s since grown to include another 3 employees and the shop has become quite popular. Brian himself is a nice guy and as someone below as mentioned, he’s a «wizard with scissors». He will take time to cut your hair, however when it get’s busy, he can pick up the pace to the point where on one particular day, he cut all of my hair in about 3 minutes. And he did a nice job too! Because the place is so popular, be prepared to wait at least 15 – 20 minutes at peak times(Saturday Morning-Afternoon) for someone. It is quiet during the off hours(Most mornings, early afternoon) Compared to the other shops in Sackville, I like the one-on-one feel of this place. All of the staff know me by name, are very friendly and we have good chats while they clip away. Pricing is on par with most barber ships and hairdressers. A men’s cut with a tip costs about $ 20, which is a reasonable price. And Brian has only raised the price once in the 8 years I’ve been going here. Overall, Brian’s is a great barbershop and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Let me help you into my time machine back to 2001. Brand new to Bedford from Edmonton. and my hair is growing(even in the patches where two cats, a fish and a 120 pound dog stressed it out of my head as we trod across this fine country.) and growing fast. Having gone to the same barber back home since I was yay big, the task of entrusting my hair to someone new, was not a thing I was looking forward to. I ventured into a barber shop in Bedford Place Mall(it’s since gone.). and met a guy named Brian. Well, Brian was a wizard with the scissors. a good guy, and really really fast. I went back a few times, only looking for Brian and one time, no one would tell me when he was going to be in again. Finally someone did admit he had opened his own shop. I have never left since. Even since I have moved into Halifax. Still make the trek to Sackville. Brian and his team are great for conversation, a great haircut,. and speedy. Well worth the trip.

This is where my ex-fiancé used to go to get his ears lowered, and he always had pretty decent haircuts(I’ll give him that much). The shop is located in the little plaza on Sackville Drive, next to the Kwik Way and the M&M Meat Shops. From the outside, it looks to be a fairly large spot, and a little less run-of-the-mill compared to more«classic» barbershops– the walls look to be a tangerine-y, pumpkin color, so there’s a lively vibe I noticed on the little window decal on the store that this shop offers American Crew products, which is(in my current fiancés opinion), one of the better products for men. So guys might want to check that out. Not too sure about pricing here, but I’m going to assume it’s typical of a barber shop– we’ll say under $ 20, ’cause that seems to be the norm. Quality seems good– though I can’t speak from my own experiences(me being a chick and all). My ex used to get good results(though, in the later years when we dated, he started getting buzz cuts, which are tough to screw up anyways). All things considered, seems like an alright place for guys looking to get their mop chopped.
